JL Closets, South Florida’s leader in high-end custom storage solutions, is looking for a Finance Operations & Payroll Manager to oversee our financial operations and payroll processes while leading our remote team based in Argentina.

This isn’t your typical back-office role—you’ll be a key part of our leadership structure, helping us scale efficiently, improve internal systems, ensure accurate and timely payroll, and provide financial insights that support strategic growth. If you're experienced in finance, accounting, and payroll, passionate about people and processes, and thrive in a dynamic environment, this could be the perfect fit.

What You’ll Do

• Take ownership of daily financial operations—ensuring everything is accurate, timely, and compliant
• Oversee payroll processing, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time
• Manage bank and credit card reconciliations, bookkeeping, and other accounting activities
• Lead and mentor two bookkeepers in Argentina, setting clear expectations and reviewing deliverables
• Prepare monthly financial reports with actionable insights for leadership
• Track budgets and cash flow to help drive smarter business decisions
• Partner with external accountants on tax filings, audits, and year-end processes
• Maintain accurate, organized, and up-to-date financial records
• Identify and implement improvements in financial, payroll, and team workflows and systems
• Establish efficient procedures, controls, and accountability standards across finance and payroll operations
• Support leadership with financial analysis and recommendations that contribute to business growth

What You Bring

• 15+ years of finance or accounting experience, with a strong track record in leadership
• Proven experience overseeing finance and accounting operations, including payroll
• Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting tools
• Strong knowledge of payroll processing, reconciliations, bookkeeping, financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow, and compliance
• Experience managing remote teams and working independently
• Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken)
• A sharp eye for detail, strong organizational habits, and a proactive mindset
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• A leadership approach that balances accountability with coaching and team development
• Ability to take ownership and consistently follow through
