The Finance Senior Specialist will provide FP&A and business-partnering support for the Production & Intervention (P&I) segment, with primary focus on the Wireline Services product line. The role will support planning, forecasting, performance analysis, and financial decision-making across a global business, translating operational and commercial drivers into clear financial insights and actions.

This position is based in Houston, Texas, with a hybrid work arrangement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Wireline Services financial planning processes, including annual plan, long-range plan, forecasts, and periodic estimates.
  • Analyze revenue, EBITDA, margins, costs, inventory, Capex, headcount, and other key financial and operating metrics; identify drivers of performance versus plan, prior year, and latest forecast.
  • Develop financial bridges and business-driver analysis across volume, mix, pricing, inflation, productivity, restructuring, and other significant items.
  • Partner with product-line and regional finance teams to improve forecast accuracy, validate assumptions, reconcile financial submissions, and ensure consistent reporting.
  • Support scenario and sensitivity analysis for commercial opportunities, investments, tenders, market risks, resource requirements, and growth initiatives.
  • Evaluate profitability, operating leverage, cost structure, asset productivity, and capital deployment to support profitable-growth decisions.
  • Monitor inventory, Capex, and workforce trends and help assess trade-offs between growth investment, service-delivery requirements, and financial returns.
  • Prepare concise financial summaries, presentations, and decision-support materials for P&I and Wireline Services leadership.
  • Support monthly and quarterly financial reviews by identifying risks and opportunities, challenging assumptions, and tracking actions to closure.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Commercial, Supply Chain, Operations, Service Delivery, and other stakeholders to improve financial visibility and execution.
  • Drive continuous improvement and simplification of FP&A processes, reporting, analytics, and data quality.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • Approximately 2–3 years of relevant finance, accounting, FP&A, or analytical experience.
  • Solid understanding of financial statements, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with complex financial and operational data and translate findings into clear business insights.
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial analysis; ability to develop clear, leadership-ready presentations.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions and regions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in an industrial, energy, oilfield services, manufacturing, or other operationally complex environment.
  • Prior experience supporting a product line, operating business, or global organization.
  • Prior experience with SAP, cFIN, or similar enterprise financial systems.
  • Exposure to ERP, financial planning, reporting, or business-intelligence systems.
  • Experience with commercial analysis, investment evaluation, inventory, Capex, or operational-finance decision support.
  • Leadership-development or rotational-program experience.

Success Profile

The successful candidate will combine strong financial fundamentals with intellectual curiosity and business judgment. The role requires someone who can move beyond reporting results to understand the operational and commercial drivers behind them, challenge assumptions constructively, and convert analysis into practical recommendations that support profitable growth and disciplined execution.

You will be eligible to participate in Company-sponsored benefit programs, including health & welfare programs and the Thrift Plan (401k). You will have a choice of coverage options that best suit your needs. Coverage options and contribution amounts are related to your benefit elections, base salary level, and specific requirements of each of these plans.
