Finance Specialist – Treasury & Reporting

🎯 Your mission

Playtomic is seeking a sharp, detail-oriented Finance Specialist (Treasury and Reporting) to own company payments across our international entities and help build the cash reporting that gives management real-time visibility over our cash. This is a hands-on role at the heart of a finance team that is rethinking how it works, using automation and AI to replace manual processes with smart, scalable ones. You will also have the room to grow into treasury and financial control in a high-growth, technology-driven company.

👩🏽‍💻 What you’ll be doing

I. Payments

• Payments Execution & Controls: Own the group's payment run end to end across all entities, from suppliers and taxes to intercompany settlements and club payouts, executing every validated payment on time and under robust controls.

• Working Capital: Turn payment timing into a lever for the business, optimising DPO while keeping strong supplier relationships, and anticipate payment peaks so the group’s funding is always one step ahead.

• Process & Centralisation: Play a key role in building Playtomic’s centralised payments function, bringing flows from Accounting, Tax and Billing into Treasury and shaping how they run.

• Banking Operations: Get hands-on with a multi-bank, multi-currency setup, backing up day-to-day banking operations such as transfers between accounts, bank portal administration and bank queries.

II. Cash Flow & Reporting

You will work closely with the Controller, building visibility over the group’s cash position.

· Weekly Cash Flow: Build the weekly cash flow in our TMS from the daily bank reconciliation done by Treasury, flagging the main deviations vs. forecast.

· Monthly Cash Flow: Prepare the first build of the monthly cash flow, with actuals vs. forecast and variance comments, to be refined with Controlling.

· Management Reporting: Prepare the inputs for the cash report delivered to the VP Corporate Finance and C-Level, for the Controller's review. Maintain cash and payment KPIs, such as payments executed, DPO and cash position by entity.

III. Automation & AI Process Improvement

Playtomic is scaling fast, and our processes need to scale with it. You will help turn manual workflows into reliable, automated ones across payments, cash and reporting.

• Payments Automation: Identify and drive opportunities to automate payment files, approvals and reconciliations, reducing manual work and operational risk.

• TMS & Tools: Get the most out of our TMS (Embat) and reporting tools, helping implement new modules, integrations and dashboards that improve visibility over cash and payments.

• Month-End & Reporting Automation: Support Controlling in automating the month-end close and recurring reporting, making figures faster and more reliable.

👥 Who you’ll be playing with

You’ll collaborate with general finance teams, including Accounting and Billing, as well as cross-functional teams such as Customer Care.

We are looking for a rigorous, hands-on finance professional with a solid accounting base and the ambition to grow into treasury within a complex international structure.

I. Experience & Background

• Track Record: 2–4 years of experience in accounting, treasury or accounts payable, ideally in a multi-entity or multi-currency company.

• Accounting Foundations: Good understanding of accruals vs. cash and of reconciliations between bank and accounting records.

• Payments Exposure: Hands-on experience executing payments (SEPA, SWIFT, ACH or wires) and working with banking portals.

II. Functional Skills

• Analytical Skills: Strong Excel and/ or Google Sheets skills, with the ability to turn payment and bank data into clear, reliable reporting.

• Control Mindset: Rigour and attention to detail, with a natural respect for controls, approvals and audit trails.

III. Culture & Location

• High-Pace Adaptability: Thrive in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment, taking ownership and learning quickly.

• Language & Location: Fluent in English and Spanish. Based in Spain; Madrid is a strong plus. Flexible working model.

🤓 Extra points

• Interest in applying automation and AI tools to finance processes.

• Experience centralising payment processes or implementing payment controls, with exposure to PSPs such as Stripe or payment orchestration tools.

• Experience using Treasury Management Systems.

• Experience with ERP systems, particularly NetSuite (Oracle).
