About the role...

ELMO Software is looking for a Financial Accountant to join our Finance team on a 14-month fixed-term contract.


Reporting to the Finance Manager, you’ll help ensure the accuracy, integrity and timeliness of ELMO’s financial operations. You’ll play a key role in recording sales orders, preparing customer invoices and supporting the month-end close process across ELMO’s subsidiaries.

This is a hands-on role suited to an accountant who enjoys working across accounts receivable, financial reporting, reconciliations and continuous improvement initiatives.


What you’ll do

  • Enter sales orders from customer contracts into Salesforce and NetSuite.
  • Prepare and issue customer invoices, statements and related billing information.
  • Maintain customer records and identify and accurately record module types and revenue splits.
  • Respond to billing and invoicing enquiries and investigate irregularities.
  • Support the month-end close process, including balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.
  • Assist with monthly financial statements, including the P&L, balance sheet and cash flow.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to queries.
  • Contribute to finance process improvements, automation initiatives and cross-functional projects.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and operational support to the Finance Manager.


What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance or a related discipline.
  • CPA qualification — mandatory.
  • 1–3 years’ experience in accounting or audit, ideally with exposure to a tier-one accounting practice.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls.
  • High proficiency in Excel.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Ability to communicate financial information clearly and confidently.
  • A collaborative approach and strong written and verbal communication skills.


Nice to have

  • Experience with NetSuite and Salesforce.
  • Experience in a cloud-based software or SaaS environment.
  • Commercial accounting experience outside of public practice.
