Financial Accountant

The Financial Accountant is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of the company’s financial records in accordance with IFRS and/or US GAAP. This role plays a key part in month-end closing, financial reporting, and operational accounting processes. The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting skills with analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively across global teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements and reports in adherence to IFRS and/or US GAAP.
• Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, ensuring accurate and timely results.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
• Support internal and external audit processes by providing documentation and explanations as required.
• Perform financial analysis, variance analysis, and data validation to support reporting and forecasting activities.
• Work with large data sets to extract insights, validate balances, and resolve discrepancies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional and regional teams to ensure compliance, consistency, and data accuracy.
• Support process improvements, system enhancements, and automation initiatives within the finance function.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP.
• Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) is desirable.
• High proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions and comfort with large, complex datasets.

Knowledge and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Business English proficiency (written and spoken) is mandatory.
• Intent to start or progressing toward an internationally recognized qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or CIMA).
• AAT qualification is acceptable when combined with relevant years of experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to partner effectively across teams and regions.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive mindset, with a passion for continuous improvement and professional development.
