As a business committed to innovation, sustainability and long-term growth, we're now looking for a Financial Accountant to join our Finance team and play a key role in supporting our continued success.

About the role

This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified or newly qualified accountant looking to build their career within a complex and commercially focused business.

As Financial Accountant, you'll take ownership of cash flow forecasting and treasury activities, helping to ensure strong financial control across the organisation. You'll work closely with colleagues across Finance and the wider business to support foreign exchange management, intercompany accounting, transfer pricing, statutory reporting and continuous process improvement.

This role offers genuine variety, exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to develop your technical accounting expertise within a supportive and experienced team.

What you'll be doing

• Managing and improving medium and long-term cash flow forecasts

• Monitoring liquidity and supporting treasury and borrowing activities

• Supporting foreign exchange forecasting, hedging and reporting

• Managing intercompany accounting and transfer pricing processes

• Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining robust financial controls

• Supporting year-end audit and statutory accounts preparation

• Assisting with technical accounting research and FRS 102 reporting requirements

• Identifying opportunities to improve processes, controls and reporting through automation and continuous improvement initiatives.

About you

We're looking for someone who combines strong technical accounting skills with a proactive and analytical approach.

You'll ideally have:

• Part-qualified or newly qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA status

• Experience in financial accounting, reporting and balance sheet control

• Exposure to cash flow forecasting and working capital management

• Knowledge of treasury, foreign exchange or financial instruments

• Strong Excel and analytical skills

• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities

• The confidence to investigate issues, challenge assumptions and drive improvements

• Experience within manufacturing, food and drink, agriculture or a similarly operational environment would be advantageous.
