Financial Accountant

As a Financial Accountant you’ll will partner closely with the business to provide valuable insights that support decision-making and contribute to the effective management of the group’s financial reporting. What You'll Be Doing Prepare and post month-end journals to ensure accurate financial records. Complete month-end balance sheet reconciliations, deferred revenue schedules, and inter-entity transfer pricing calculations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Prepare and process monthly sales commission reports and manage fortnightly and monthly payroll processing, ensuring smooth and timely execution. Maintain fixed asset registers, manage CAPEX projects, and actively contribute to the audit process. You will also oversee tax compliance for FBT, GST, BAS, PAYG, IAS, and payroll tax. Automate and improve financial processes, supporting the development of internal controls to drive operational efficiency and financial accuracy. Take on additional duties and reporting tasks as needed, supporting broader finance projects and contributing to team success. What you'll bring CA or CPA qualified with experience in accounting. An audit background is highly desirable, and experience with IFRS 16 lease accounting standards will be advantageous. Exceptional accuracy and a keen eye for detail in financial reporting, reconciliations, and documentation. Your ability to ensure the integrity of financial data will be critical in this role. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and effectively to both internal and external stakeholders. A proactive approach to data analysis and problem-solving, with a drive to improve financial processes and contribute to the team's success. Advanced computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Excel, is a must. Your technical skills will enable you to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
