ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for someone to take full ownership of our finance function and replace our existing accounting firm. This is a hands-on, full-function role; you’ll own everything from day-to-day reconciliations through to annual financial statements, with real autonomy and minimal oversight. Full-time, fully remote, with one in-person check-in meeting weekly in Cape Town (Seapoint).

IS IT FOR ME?

• Solid full-function bookkeeping or accounting experience, ideally having run finances independently with minimal supervision
• Comfortable owning supplier reconciliations, loading and authorising
• Confident running payroll end to end and processing loans
• Strong grip on balance sheet and P&L preparation, gross profit monitoring and overhead reporting
• Solid working knowledge of VAT, PAYE and UIF
• Experience preparing Annual Financial Statements (AFS) and liaising directly with auditors and tax advisors
• Self-directed, dependable and comfortable working remotely without close oversight

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Reconciling supplier accounts and managing supplier loading and authorisation
• Running payroll and processing loans
• Preparing balance sheets and P&Ls
• Monitoring gross profit and overhead reporting
• Managing VAT, PAYE and UIF compliance
• Preparing Annual Financial Statements
• Liaising directly with our auditor and tax advisor
