Financial Accountant DACH

We are looking for an ambitious, high potential candidate to join our team as a Financial Accountant DACH. Reporting directly to the DACH Accounting & Corporate Services Associate Manager, your focus will be on supporting the monthly closing activities for the DACH countries including the preparation of statutory declarations. Besides administrative tasks, the continuous development and improvement of processes will also be a fundamental part.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Contribute to the local monthly/quarterly/yearly closing for the DACH countries (IFRS and local GAAP)
• Timely preparation of statutory declarations (VAT declarations; Intrastat; ZM)
• Support in clarification of tax related topics
• Management of invoices and travel expense reports in correspondence with our SSC
• Ad hoc clarifications and reports
• Process bank bookings and clearing of transitory accounts
• Perform intercompany reconciliation and relevant adjustments
• Improvement of current processes and optimization of workflows
• Execute and Control accounting related business transactions
  
  

Skills And Experience

• Commercial education (e.g. Steuerfachangestelle/r; Groß- und Außenhandelskauffrau/mann) or equivalent level qualification
• Experience in accounting (2-3 years of experience)
• Ideally practical and theoretical knowledge of accounting according to local GAAP (HGB, UGB, OR) and IFRS
• Good knowledge of MS Office products, especially Excel
• Preferably first experience with SAP
• Smart/quick/agile/proactive
• Fluent in German and English
