About You
We are looking for a highly proactive, detail-oriented Financial Analyst with 1-2 years of professional experience to join our fast-paced finance team. In this role, you will be the backbone of the finance team, taking ownership of essential record maintenance, high-volume data scrubbing, and detailed reconciliations. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven professional to build upon their foundational skill set in corporate finance and accounting while supporting complex month-end close processes, strategic financial analysis, and workflow automation.

Responsibilities

  • Data Maintenance & Record Keeping: Maintain, scrub, and organize large sets of financial records, ensuring absolute data integrity across ledgers and reporting systems.
  • Reconciliations & Variance Investigation: Perform detailed weekly and monthly reconciliations (e.g., bank, revenue, crypto balance), including the rigorous investigation of variances and discrepancies.
  • Pre/Post-close Preparation & Support: Assist the accounting team by organizing, reviewing, and cleaning up pre-close items, ensuring financial data is accurately prepared for the month-end close process.
  • Analysis & Modeling: Assist with financial modeling, perform profitability analysis, and provide support in building and maintaining budget models and forecasting processes.
  • Process Improvement & Automation: Streamline financial reporting workflows and routine reconciliation tasks by leveraging automation tools and scripts (e.g., Python, SQL, Google Apps Script, or advanced Excel macros).
  • Proactive Task Management: Actively identify process gaps, discrepancies, or operational inefficiencies, and independently initiate and complete tasks to resolve them.
  • Ad Hoc Tasks: Execute ad hoc tasks from senior management, investors and other external sources.
  • Audit & Tax Support: Provide assistance to YE audit and tax reporting.
  • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, with 1-2 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Solid foundational understanding of accounting principles (e.g., GAAP, double-entry bookkeeping, accruals).
  • Minimum GPA of 3.6.
  • Proficient with Excel with a strong emphasis on data manipulation and demonstrated hands-on experience in financial process automation.
  • Highly detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills—must be comfortable diving deep into the data to find and fix discrepancies.
  • Self-motivated and proactive: proven ability to independently identify tasks, take ownership, and drive them to completion with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organization, time management, and ability to meet strict reporting deadlines.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Team player with a positive attitude, ready to tackle new operational challenges.
  • Compensation
The target annual salary for this role performed in the US is $70,000 - $90,000.
The exact compensation at which this job is filled will be determined by the skills and experience of qualified candidates.
