Summary

The Financial Analyst will be responsible for providing financial, analytical and decision-support to various brands and functions across the company. This support includes cyclical aspects such as analyzing and communicating results, development of forecasts and budgets, and related reporting, as well as other ad-hoc analyses and a wide range of project-based responsibilities. These tasks will require partnership and collaboration with brand/function leadership, as well as partners within the accounting, finance and BI functions.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly forecasts and annual budgets in partnership with Brand and Department leaders across the company.
• Conduct monthly business reviews with business partners to review KPI and financial results vs expectations, provide explanations and insights, and support attainment of financial objectives.
• Identify and highlight risks/opportunities to achieving financial objectives, make recommendations and partner with the organization to develop mitigate/pursue them.
• Support strategic projects through collaborating with business partners, providing analytical and modeling support, ensuring financial impacts are understood and present recommendations.
• Partner with the BI team on the development of dashboards to improve organizational awareness around various trends and KPIs to help drive results
• Assist with the preparation of monthly and quarterly management decks for executive leadership.
• Identify and introduce new ideas to improve efficiency and accuracy in the reporting, forecasting and budgeting processes.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required including assisting with initiatives within the finance organizational

Required Skills and Abilities

• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to discuss complex, financial topics with non-financial audiences.
• Exceptional personal initiative and curiosity, with the desire to drive consistent improvement
• Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel and Power Point, and creation of financial models.
• Professional demeanor and ability to work effectively with all levels of management.
• Ability to meet deadlines and demonstrate attention to detail.
• High level of analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with financial, reporting and BI systems (i.e. PBCS/SmartView, Netsuite, Domo)
• Experience in multi-company, multi-location and/or franchise environment highly encouraged
• Understanding of US GAAP.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
• Minimum 3-5 years work experience in finance

Physical Requirements

• Light-duty work environment – primarily office-based with minimal physical exertion.
• Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer.
• Occasional standing or walking for presentations or facilitation.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 15 lbs occasionally.
• Hybrid model – Work from the office on Tues/Wed/Thurs and from home on Mon/Fri.
• Infrequent travel for seminars, HFC annual convention, or to other HFC offices may be required.
