About The Company

ALDI. Good Different. With roots dating back to 1913, ALDI is proud to make a real difference to people around the world by offering top-quality products at low prices. ALDI entered the Australian grocery market in 2001 and has grown to almost 600 stores and eight distribution centres across five states.

ALDI is not your average supermarket or employer. It is a place where people can find a strong sense of purpose, supportive colleagues and opportunities to develop their careers. At ALDI, employees contribute to a business that serves everyday Australians and helps make quality products accessible to more people. Joining the team means being part of a global retailer that values practical thinking, high standards and meaningful results.

About The Role

ALDI Australia is seeking an Analyst to join its Financial Accounting team in Minchinbury. This is a full-time, permanent position suited to a detail-oriented professional who enjoys investigating data, solving problems and finding ways to improve financial processes.

Working as part of a high-performing, results-driven team, you will analyse inventory data and financial transactions, helping ensure information is accurate, complete and compliant with internal requirements. You will work with colleagues and stakeholders across the business to investigate discrepancies, resolve issues and provide clear financial insights. Your contributions will support reliable reporting and continuous improvement across the organisation.

This role offers the opportunity to develop your accounting and analytical capabilities while helping strengthen the processes that underpin a large, complex retail operation. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams when new or updated financial processes are introduced.

Qualifications

Applicants should have previous experience in business, accounting or a related field, along with a demonstrated ability to work accurately with financial or transactional data. Experience using SAP to process, maintain and manage information is required, as is a strong commitment to data integrity and attention to detail.

You will bring clear communication, sound organisation and a methodical approach to your work. The ability to investigate issues, identify practical solutions and work effectively with stakeholders at different levels is important. You should be comfortable adapting to new technologies and systems, and bring curiosity and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement. Experience with Inventory Costing (MAP) is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will analyse transactional data and investigate variances or irregularities, working to resolve issues in line with internal policies and control requirements. You will liaise with relevant stakeholders to understand discrepancies, agree on appropriate solutions and help ensure matters are addressed in a timely manner.

You will also complete month-end accounting activities, including clearing adjustments and balance sheet reconciliations. The role involves preparing financial reports and ad hoc analyses, identifying opportunities to improve processes, and implementing enhancements that strengthen accuracy and control. In addition, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the rollout of new financial processes and contribute to the ongoing effectiveness of the Financial Accounting team.

Benefits

ALDI offers a range of benefits designed to support your wellbeing, flexibility and life beyond work. These include five weeks of annual leave and hybrid work options. Employees can access paid parental leave, including superannuation contributions during parental leave, as well as complimentary physiotherapy for non-work-related aches, pains or niggles.

You can also access the MyALDI wellbeing program, with discounted Fitness Passport and health insurance options. ALDI has been recognised as an Employer of Choice every year from 2018 to 2024. The transparent tiered salary range for this position is $143,400–$163,500, including superannuation.

Equal Opportunity

ALDI celebrates diversity and is committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. Applications are welcomed from people of all backgrounds, experiences, abilities and identities. ALDI is committed to fair and respectful treatment throughout the recruitment process and employment, and encourages candidates to learn more about its inclusion commitments through the company’s careers resources.
