Role Overview Financial Controller | Warsaw, PL | Office-based 4 days/week | 12,000 zł - 20,000 zł per month As part of our ambitious growth strategy, we are seeking an exceptional Financial Controller to join our global business. Reporting directly to the VP of Finance Operations, this role offers a unique opportunity to oversee financial operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and support strategic decision-making at Fresha. You will work closely with the finance team, external partners, and other departments to enhance financial processes and contribute to the company's overall success. What You'll Do Build trusted financial foundations: Liaise with external accounting and audit service providers to maintain compliance and operational excellence as Fresha scales globally. Protect financial accuracy: Review financial records, cost invoices, and bank transactions to ensure accuracy. Strengthen financial controls : Monitor accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring compliance with internal controls. Turn financial detail into clarity: Conduct detailed reviews of profit and loss (P&L) accounts, including identifying and addressing discrepancies such as missing invoices, prepayments, or accruals. Keep the business moving: Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting that enables teams across Fresha to make informed decisions. Create confidence in the numbers: Oversee a reconciliation process of balance sheet accounts, including cash, prepayments, and accruals, to maintain financial accuracy. Make finance smarter and more scalable: Identify opportunities to streamline processes and implement automation for efficiency. Turn data into better decisions: Utilize SQL to extract, analyze, and manage financial data to support decision-making and process optimization. Write SQL queries to extract data from BI system. Connect a global finance function : Coordinate financial activities across multiple global entities. Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and tax regulations for each entity. Provide a clear financial picture: Prepare and present financial statements and analyses to senior leadership. Help shape the next chapter of Fresha: Support strategic planning and budgeting processes through financial insights and forecasting. What We're Looking For Proven financial expertise: 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance with strong knowledge of accounting standards and tax regulations. Financial education background Data-driven: Proficiency in SQL for financial data management and analysis. Systems: Advanced knowledge of Excel and experience with financial systems or ERP software. Thrive in a fast-moving environment: Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Communication: Good level of English for global communication, both written and verbal. Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
