About the Role:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Controller to join our Finance team. You will support the company’s day-to-day financial operations, including bank payments, expense accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting.You will work closely with internal teams and local accounting providers to ensure accurate financial data, smooth payment processes, and effective financial control across our international operations.
Requirements:
- 2–4+ years of experience in a similar role (financial controller, accountant-analyst, financial analyst)
- Experience preparing and analyzing financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
- Experience with bank operations and payment processing
- Hands-on QuickBooks experience (nice to have)
- Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills, attention to detail
- English level sufficient for work in an international team
Responsibilities:
- Process and control bank payments, reconcile statements
- Maintain the expense side of accounting in QuickBooks
- Support financial analysis of ongoing operations
- Review expense requests in Payhawk (category, description, amount, supporting documents), approve and process payments through Payhawk
- Work with bank statements and upload them into QuickBooks
- Process payments through banking systems (Revolut, Wise, Bank Polski, PrivatBank, Monobank)
- Match bills against bank statements
- Upload Payroll records into QuickBooks and review correctness of allocation
- Analyze P&L expenses; communicate with department leads and employees on operational matters
- Perform FX revaluation of currency balances; analyze balance sheet and accounts payable
- Prepare ad hoc reports
- Communicate with local providers and provide information to local accountants (Poland, UK)
Nice to have:
- Experience in a SaaS/tech company
- Familiarity with Payhawk or similar spend-management tools
- Experience working with multiple legal entities/currencies
