Company Overview

The company serves the Coastal Bend of Texas with high-quality exterior construction—roofing, windows, siding, decking, waterproofing, and more. It brings a craftsmanship mindset to every project and stands behind its work for homeowners and commercial clients alike. The culture values accountability, clear communication, and doing right by customers and teammates.

With a growth goal of $30M in annual revenue by 2030, the company is building an accountable leadership team and strengthening systems that support scale. You'll find a team that appreciates initiative, takes ownership, and collaborates across departments to create reliable outcomes for customers and the business.

Mission

We're looking for a hands-on Financial Controller who can clean up complex books, build trust in the numbers, and equip leadership with forward-looking visibility. You'll lead the transition from cash to accrual reporting, stand up divisional reporting for Roofing and Exteriors, maintain a rolling 13-week cash forecast, and connect estimated versus actual job costs to protect margins.

Day to day, you'll drive reconciliations in QuickBooks Online, manage monthly close, partner closely with our COO and CEO, coordinate with our U.S. CPA, and document controls that keep operations moving smoothly. If you enjoy untangling challenges, building practical systems, and delivering clear, actionable reporting—while making a measurable impact—you'll feel right at home.

Key Responsibilities

Your daily tasks will vary, giving you room to learn, grow, and strengthen your skills while supporting the team with excellence. You'll blend cleanup work with building forward-looking processes that help the business scale confidently.

  • Lead comprehensive QuickBooks Online cleanup, including bank/credit card reconciliations, receivables, payables, payroll liabilities, loans, deposits, and clearing unsupported balances
  • Transition from cash-based tracking to accurate accrual-based management reporting in coordination with the U.S. CPA
  • Maintain a rolling 13-week cash forecast and proactively highlight risks, timing issues, and cash needs
  • Establish budgets and financial projections; deliver timely, dependable monthly reporting packages (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, divisional performance, and KPIs)
  • Build separate financial visibility for Roofing and Exteriors with consistent shared-cost allocations and a reconciled companywide view
  • Connect estimated and actual job costs; analyze and explain margin changes across labor, materials, subcontractors, and change orders
  • Manage a disciplined monthly close process and reporting cadence, including variance analysis and actionable insights for leadership
  • Coordinate tax-planning preparation and deadlines; bring feasible accounting tasks in-house while retaining necessary specialist support
  • Document accounting policies, internal controls, and month-end checklists to ensure accuracy and repeatability
  • Support the planned AccuLynx-to-Zuper transition, including data mapping, process definition, and control considerations
  • Strengthen AR/AP processes and cash controls to improve collections, payment timing, and vendor relationships
  • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Sales, and Leadership to provide clear financial visibility and decision support

Qualifications

  • Years of Experience: 7+ years of hands-on accounting/controllership experience, including cleanup, accruals, and monthly close
  • CRM Tool: AccuLynx (familiarity), Zuper (transition support)
  • Softwares: QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets, AccuLynx, Zuper
  • Industry Knowledge Required: U.S. construction/home services with project-based accounting; familiarity with U.S. accounting practices/GAAP
  • Specific Gender: No preference

Skills & Competencies

  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through
  • Strong communication skills and professional English
  • Advanced spreadsheet and financial modeling skills
  • Judgment to challenge unsupported numbers and defend sound accounting treatment
  • Cash forecasting, accrual accounting, and job-costing expertise
  • Ability to build repeatable processes, controls, and reporting cadences
  • Collaborative, hands-on leadership with accountability and urgency
  • Problem-solving mindset and comfort operating in cleanup/build mode

Technical Requirements

  • Own PC or laptop
  • Reliable internet connection (wired connection recommended)
  • Noise-cancelling headset and a quiet, professional workspace
  • Backup power and/or secondary internet connectivity
  • Ability to work substantial overlap with U.S. Central Time hours

Position Description

  • Working Hours: 9 hours, from 4:00 PM till 12:00 AM Beirut Time
  • Working Days: 5 days a week
  • Days Off: Saturday and Sunday
  • Work Location: Fully-remote, you can work from anywhere
  • Salary: 2,000$/month
