We’re looking for an experienced Financial Controller to join our Mars Food Australia team. This is a high-impact role responsible for financial reporting, accounting, controls and governance across the Segment, partnering closely with the CFO, General Managers and senior business leaders.

You’ll play a critical role in ensuring we have accurate, timely and insightful financial information to support better business decisions.

What you’ll do:

• Lead the delivery of accurate, complete and timely financial reporting across the Segment.

• Own the health and integrity of the P&L and balance sheet, ensuring strong accounting practices and financial controls.

• Partner with the CFO, GMs and senior stakeholders to provide financial insight and support business decision-making.

• Oversee financial close, reconciliations and the review and approval of periodic, quarterly and annual accounts.

• Lead the implementation and ongoing effectiveness of the control’s framework and testing program.

• Partner closely with MGS Finance and non-finance functions including Sales and Supply Chain.

• Ensure compliance with local, federal and global financial, regulatory and accounting requirements.

• Lead accounting and financial support for special projects, transformations, new systems and business models.

• Drive continuous improvement and help strengthen financial processes and standards across the Segment.

What you'll bring:

You’ll be an experienced finance leader with a strong technical accounting foundation and the confidence to operate at senior leadership level. In addition, you have:

• A degree in Accounting and CPA/CA or equivalent professional qualification preferred.

• 8–15 years’ accounting/finance experience, ideally within a complex, multinational environment.

• Strong experience across financial reporting, accounting, controls and compliance.

• Experience with SAP or a similar ERP system.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with the ability to turn financial information into meaningful insights.

• A track record of driving change, continuous improvement and standardisation.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders.
