Role Description This is a full-time, remote role for a Financial Controller focused on vacation rental accounting and acquisition integration. The Financial Controller will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including maintaining accurate ledgers, preparing monthly and quarterly financial statements, and managing cash flow for a portfolio of vacation rental properties. The role includes responsibility for financial reporting, budgeting, and variance analysis, as well as creating controls and procedures that support scalability and compliance. The Financial Controller will support acquisition integration by standardizing financial processes, coordinating onboarding of new properties, reconciling opening balances, and aligning reporting with company standards. This position will collaborate closely with leadership, operations, and design teams to provide financial insights, improve profitability, and support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Accounting and Finance skills, including general ledger management and property-level accounting.
- Candidates should possess experience with Financial Statements and Financial Reporting, including preparation, review, and interpretation of income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills to conduct variance analysis, profitability reviews, and data-driven forecasting.
- Relevant experience with vacation rentals, real estate, hospitality, or property management accounting is beneficial.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Excel, with the ability to implement and improve financial systems and controls.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and effectively in a remote environment.
- Experience with acquisition integration, process standardization, and cross-functional collaboration is highly valued.
