Meet the Team

Join the CX Finance organization, where we drive accountability, governance, and operational excellence. We are a collaborative and analytical team dedicated to mitigating risk and ensuring the integrity of our financial processes. We partner across the enterprise to identify risks, evaluate control efficiency, and drive the simplification and standardization of financial governance. As a member of this team, you will work with innovators who value technical precision, cross-functional partnership, and data-driven decision-making.

Your Impact

As a Financial Controls & Compliance Manager, you will serve as a strategic partner to finance and business teams, including SOX Process Leads, IT, and Global Procurement. You will lead internal control readiness activities, ensuring that CX operations align with corporate policies and governance requirements. Your work will directly influence our ability to mitigate financial risks, improve scalability, and maintain accurate reporting. You will act as a key advisor to partners, turning complex process flows and audit results into actionable improvements that strengthen our financial health.

  • Manage SOX controls, walkthroughs, and narratives, including conducting quality reviews on process changes and leading all aspects of control remediation and testing.
  • Lead cross-functional risk assessments and quarterly compliance certifications to ensure effective governance.
  • Evaluate existing control frameworks, identify gaps, and implement improvements to improve risk mitigation.
  • Collaborate with Global Procurement on purchase requisition processes and conduct ongoing procurement audits and analyses.
  • Lead ad-hoc projects to assess financial, business, and operational risks by detailing process flows and crafting Risk & Controls Matrices (RACM).
  • Ensure compliance with the Global Renewal Policy by auditing and testing the integrity of data and systems related to ATR (Account-to-Report) and ARR (Annual Recurring Revenue) reporting.
  • Update policies impacting Services Revenue and metrics to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and reporting accuracy.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field (or 8+ years of equivalent professional experience).
  • 6+ years of professional experience in Internal Audit, SOX compliance, or financial/accounting controls.
  • Demonstrated experience leading end-to-end process documentation and crafting Risk & Controls Matrices (RACM).
  • Experience on conducting quality reviews, testing controls, and performing risk assessments in a large-scale corporate environment.
  • Experience analyzing data sets to identify process gaps and audit findings within financial reporting or procurement.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (MBA or Master’s in Finance/Accounting) or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CIA, CISA).
  • Strong strategic attitude with the ability to influence and collaborate with partners across various levels of the organization.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical/financial risks into clear, actionable updates.
  • Proven track record to navigate ambiguous environments and lead multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Experience with Cisco’s change implementation processes and familiarity with Services Revenue models.
