The Role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Modeling Coach / FP&A Instructor to deliver practical training in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and business performance analysis. In this part-time, fully remote role, you will develop learning materials, guide participants through financial models, and help learners apply analytical techniques to realistic business scenarios.

The ideal candidate combines hands-on corporate finance or FP&A experience with strong teaching and communication skills. You should be able to explain complex financial concepts clearly and help learners build confidence in financial analysis and decision support.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver training sessions on financial modeling, FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Develop structured course materials, presentations, exercises, and practical case studies.
• Teach learners how to build integrated financial statements and structured financial models.
• Demonstrate revenue forecasting, expense modeling, working capital analysis, cash flow projections, and scenario planning.
• Guide participants in developing budgets, rolling forecasts, financial plans, and performance reports.
• Explain variance analysis, financial ratios, sensitivity analysis, and key business performance indicators.
• Provide practical instruction in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, financial functions, model structuring, and spreadsheet best practices.
• Introduce financial modeling techniques for business valuation and investment analysis where relevant.
• Review learner assignments, provide constructive feedback, and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Translate financial outputs into clear business insights and actionable management recommendations.
• Keep training content aligned with current corporate finance practices and industry expectations.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline is preferred.
• At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in FP&A, financial modeling, corporate finance, financial analysis, or finance training is preferred.
• Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, financial statements, cash flow analysis, and performance measurement.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to build structured, transparent, and reliable financial models.
• Ability to explain financial concepts through practical examples and step-by-step instruction.
• Strong analytical, numerical, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in corporate finance, management reporting, or business partnering is an advantage.
• Familiarity with Power BI, financial planning systems, or other analytical tools is beneficial.
• Professional qualifications such as CFA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent are advantageous but not mandatory.
• Comfortable delivering online training, managing learning activities, and working independently in a remote environment.
