As the Financial Planning & Analysis Specialist (FP&A,) you will provide expertise and execution support for budgeting, forecasting, and fiscal year-end financial processes for the Great Plains Division.


You will partner closely with the Division Finance team to develop and maintain standardized planning and close tools, coordinate forecasting activities, and analyze financial performance. You will act as a subject matter expert for budgeting and forecasting processes while helping drive consistency, accuracy, and continuous improvement throughout the finance organization. Reporting to the Finance Operations & Enablement Manager, you will partner with other finance staff and business stakeholders to support effective financial decision-making across the division.


Other areas of responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


Budget, Forecasting & Revenue Planning

  • Coordinate division budgeting, forecasting, and year-end revenue planning processes across multiple Pods/BUs.
  • Develop and maintain planning tools, templates, models, schedules, and guidance to support consistent financial planning.
  • Consolidate budgets and forecasts, review submissions for accuracy and completeness, and prepare analyses for leadership decision-making.
  • Partner with Finance Managers and Budget Managers to identify planning assumptions, risks, opportunities, and recommended adjustments.
  • Monitor financial performance and provide budget-to-actual and forecast-to-actual variance analysis.

Financial Analysis & Reporting

  • Analyze revenue, expenses, budgets, forecasts, and operating results to identify trends and key drivers.
  • Prepare recurring reports, dashboards, planning summaries, and ad hoc analyses for finance and organizational leadership.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial planning, resource allocation, and decision-making.

Year-End Revenue & Close Support

  • Lead coordination of fiscal year-end revenue forecasting and planning activities.
  • Partner with Finance Managers and Accounting Specialists to support revenue reviews, reporting requirements, and timely year-end close.
  • Monitor year-end deliverables, resolve revenue-related issues, and prepare supporting analyses and schedules.

Process Improvement & Enablement

  • Maintain standardized budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes, methodologies, and reporting standards.
  • Develop documentation, training, and user support resources for planning tools and processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation, process enhancements, and reporting solutions.

Collaboration & Partnership

  • Partner with Finance Directors, Finance Managers, Accounting Specialists, Contracts Specialists, Reporting Specialists, and business stakeholders to support integrated financial planning.
  • Serve as a resource for budgeting, forecasting, and revenue planning questions across Pods/BUs.
  • Support division and organization-wide finance initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.

This is a remote position located within in the Great Plains Division (Arkansas, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Oklahoma, and Texas) and strong preference for individuals who are able to support partners in the Central Time zone.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field and 4 years' related experience or equivalent combination.
  • Experience working with financial models, reporting tools, and large datasets.
  • Experience in manipulating, analyzing and interpreting data.
  • Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills.



Desired Qualifications:

  • Multi-lingual skills and/or multi-cultural experience appreciated.
  • Experience supporting annual budget and forecast processes in a complex or multi-unit organization.
  • Experience in nonprofit, grant-funded, or conservation-related organizations.
  • Knowledge of financial planning systems, ERP platforms, and reporting tools.
  • Professional certification such as CPA, CMA, FPAC, or equivalent.
  • Experience developing financial models and scenario analyses.

Salary Information:


The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position is generally within the range of $61,000 – 95,000. This range only applies to candidates whose country of employment is the USA. Where a successful candidate’s actual pay will fall within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including, for example, the candidate's location, qualifications, specific skills, and experience. Please note countries outside the USA would have a different pay range in the local currency based on the local labor market, and not tied to USA pay or ranges. Your geographic location will be confirmed during the recruitment.
