We are Qualco Group, a leading fintech organisation with over 25 years of experience delivering innovative technology solutions to banks and financial institutions. Serving clients in over 30 countries, we leverage advanced technologies, such as AI and analytics, to develop proprietary software and platforms that accelerate digital transformation and generate lasting value for businesses, society, and the broader economy.

We are looking for a highly motivated Financial Reporting & Consolidation Analyst to join our finance team. The role will join a small, high-impact team responsible for the Group’s consolidated financial reporting. Working closely with the Financial Reporting & Consolidation Manager, you will manage consolidation reporting, prepare key consolidated financial statements and supporting analyses, contribute to half-year and full-year reporting, strengthen financial reporting controls, and use AI tools to improve reporting speed, accuracy and control.

Responsibilities:

Monthly consolidation and reporting:

  • Participate in the monthly consolidation cycle: collecting and reviewing subsidiary reporting packs and following up on queries and discrepancies, perform intercompany reconciliations and eliminations, FX translation, and consolidation adjustments;
  • Support the preparation of the consolidated Income Statement (P&L), Balance Sheet, Equity Movement and Cash Flow Statement, with the related supporting schedules and analyses;
  • Perform variance, flux and trend analyses and prepare commentary for the Manager and senior management;
  • Reconcile consolidation outputs to the ledgers and subsidiary submissions, and investigate and resolve differences.

Half-year and full-year financial statements:

  • Support the preparation of IFRS-compliant half-year and annual financial statements, including primary statements and notes, ensuring alignment with the Group’s accounting policies and Athens Stock Exchange reporting requirements;
  • Prepare disclosure schedules and supporting workings, and maintain a clear audit trail;
  • Coordinate with external auditors on information requests, queries and audit support.

Controls over financial reporting:

  • Support the Manager in enhancing the financial reporting control framework as well as document reporting and consolidation procedures, process maps and control descriptions;
  • Maintain and update the IFRS Disclosure and Measurement Checklists, monitor new or amended IFRS requirements affecting the Group, and prepare technical accounting memos for new and/or complex transactions, documenting the accounting analysis, conclusions and reporting impact;
  • Perform and evidence key controls (reconciliations, review checks, completeness and accuracy checks) and follow up on gaps or findings;
  • Collaborate with entity finance teams, FP&A, Tax, Treasury and Group Accounting to meet reporting deadlines, while providing subsidiaries with guidance on reporting requirements and consolidation input.

Automation and AI-enabled improvement

  • Identify opportunities to automate and streamline reporting tasks and shorten the close;
  • Use AI tools to improve quality, strengthen controls and reduce turnaround time, within the Group’s data security and governance policies;

Ensure all activities are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, while supporting the continued implementation of the Group Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy.

  • 3 - 5 years of proven financial reporting experience at a listed group or Big 5 firm;
  • Bachelor’s degree or MSc in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field;
  • Professional qualification (ACCA, ICAEW, ACA, CPA or equivalent) completed or substantially progressed;
  • Strong working knowledge of IFRS, including consolidation (IFRS 10, IFRS 3), IFRS 15 Revenue Recognition, IAS 21, IAS 7, and disclosure and measurement requirements;
  • Solid understanding of internal controls over financial reporting, including control design, documentation and testing;
  • Good use of AI tools to automate tasks, improve quality and controls, and reduce turnaround time;
  • Advanced Excel skills & experience with consolidation systems and ERPs;
  • Fluency in English and Greek, written and spoken;
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking & communication skills.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience preparing or reviewing IFRS technical position papers or memos;
  • Working knowledge of IFRS 9 Financial Instruments and IFRS 16 Leases;
  • Familiarity with Athens Stock Exchange reporting requirements;
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) and IRIS Carbon.
