What You'll Do

  • Manage complex commercial and financial services matters from pre-suit investigation through pleadings, discovery, trial preparation, and appeals.

  • Draft and argue motions, briefs, and memoranda in state and federal courts, and prepare submissions for arbitration proceedings.

  • Conduct and defend fact and expert witness depositions.

  • Oversee large-scale document review and e-discovery processes.

  • Advise financial institution clients on litigation strategy, risk, and regulatory exposure.

  • Collaborate with partners on case strategy and client relationships.

  • Research regulatory and common-law issues affecting financial services, including consumer finance, enforcement defense, broker-dealer disputes, and fintech or digital assets.

What We're Looking For

  • Five to seven years of financial services litigation experience, including work for banks, broker-dealers, investment banks, asset managers, or fintech companies.

  • Experience across litigation phases in state and federal courts and arbitration, including motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation.

  • Active New York bar admission in good standing and authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

  • Familiarity with SEC, FINRA, CFPB, and OCC matters, along with applicable consumer finance laws and cryptocurrency-related issues.

  • Experience with e-discovery and large-scale document review; familiarity with Relativity, Westlaw, LexisNexis, PACER, and Microsoft Office is useful.

  • BigLaw or equivalent firm experience is preferred.
