The Project
We are seeking a Financial Specialist to manage Komodo Consulting's internal financial operations on a part-time, freelance basis. You will work closely with management, based on a clearly defined set of monthly deliverables, ensuring that financial processes, documentation, and client relationships run in an organised and efficient way. This is a flexible, remote collaboration, compatible with other professional commitments.
You will have the following responsibilities:
Manage the end-to-end invoicing process, including issuing and sending invoices to clients;
Track payments and follow up on overdue invoices with clients;
Handle financial questions, requests, and processes with clients;
Manage contractual matters with clients, including contract tracking, renewals, and related documentation;
Keep the internal financial database and Google Drive up to date with documents, records, and financial movements;
Act as the main point of contact with the external accounting firm, ensuring timely and accurate exchange of information;
Prepare internal financial reporting under management supervision;
Support the implementation and continuous improvement of financial processes and tools, including the ERP;
Ensure financial documentation is complete, organised, and audit-ready.
You need to have the following skills/experience:
Solid experience in finance, accounting, or financial administration roles (3+ years);
Experience with invoicing, accounts receivable, and client payment follow-up;
Hands-on experience with ERP systems; experience implementing an ERP from scratch is highly valued;
Knowledge of Portuguese invoicing and tax requirements (e.g. certified invoicing software, SAF-T, VAT);
Experience working with external accounting firms;
Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills and familiarity with Google Workspace;
Highly organised and structured, with strong attention to detail;
Strong execution capability, able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines autonomously;
Proactive, energetic, and committed, with a high standard of professional pride;
Fluency in Portuguese and English (minimum B2).
Location
Remote, in Portugal. Flexible schedule, based on a defined set of monthly deliverables.
