As our new Principal FinOps Consultant, you will help organisations maximise the value of their cloud investments by combining technology, finance, and business strategy. You'll lead strategic client engagements, deliver data-driven insights, and play a key role in growing our FinOps practice through innovation, mentoring, and client success.
- Lead strategic FinOps engagements, facilitating workshops and presenting recommendations to stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership
- Assess cloud spend, identify cost drivers, and deliver actionable optimisation strategies that improve financial efficiency and governance
- Analyse cloud consumption and financial data to uncover insights, increase cost visibility, and drive measurable savings opportunities
- Develop and mature clients' FinOps capabilities, operating models, governance frameworks, and cloud financial management practices
- Build trusted client relationships, managing complex engagements, resolving escalations, and identifying opportunities for continued growth and collaboration
- Drive cross-functional collaboration across engineering, finance, and application teams to improve cost accountability, allocation, and optimisation outcomes
- Lead business development and service innovation activities, contributing to pre-sales, solution design, knowledge sharing, capability development, and the evolution of FinOps offerings and best practices
What we need to see from you
- Demonstrated FinOps expertise within complex enterprise cloud environments, including cloud cost management and optimisation
- Solid knowledge of cloud vendor commercial models, contracts, licensing, and financial management practices across platforms such as Microsoft Azure and AWS
- Analytical mindset with experience using reporting and visualisation tools to translate data into actionable business insights
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decisions and present complex concepts to technical and executive audiences
- Collaborative and self-driven approach, with the ability to work effectively across teams, mentor colleagues, and build trusted relationships
- Structured problem-solver with high emotional intelligence, capable of driving innovation, leading change, and managing challenging conversations with professionalism
Mandatory certifications:
- Finops Practitioner
And at least two of the below exams:
- AWS: Certified Cloud Practitioner or Cloud Economics
- Microsoft: Certified Azure Fundamentals
- GCP: Digital Leader
