Prepare accurate AutoCAD drawings for fire protection systems. Interpret architectural, structural, mechanical, and civil drawings. Perform hydraulic calculations and stock listing (material takeoffs). Coordinate designs with project managers, contractors, architects, engineers, and field personnel. Ensure all designs comply with NFPA standards, local building codes, and project specifications. Revise drawings based on customer feedback, field conditions, and AHJ requirements. Support project management through the design process from concept through installation. Maintain organized project documentation and drawing revisions. Participate in design review meetings and assist with technical problem solving. Qualifications AutoCAD experience required. Strong drafting and blueprint reading skills. Construction industry experience preferred. Fire sprinkler design experience strongly preferred. NICET Level II in Water-Based Systems preferred. Candidates without sprinkler experience must be willing to obtain and maintain NICET certification. Understanding of hydraulic calculations and stock listing is a plus. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Valid driver's license required.
