Role Summary:
This role will focus primarily on incident management for the Operations business. Having robust and effective incident management processes and procedures in place is critically important for ClearView to meet its regulatory obligations and serve its customers.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of incidents and will be tasked with driving meaningful and measurable improvements in our incident management capabilities and performance.
The successful candidate will also contribute to other risk management activities including but not limited to the identification of risks and controls, control testing, risk in change assessments and audit activity.
This role will suit someone with prior risk or incident manager experience who wants an opportunity to own the space and make their mark. The role may also suit someone who has worked closely with a risk management function and has working knowledge of risk management theory and practices.
Primary Responsibilities:
Day to Day
- Own the end-to-end incident management process for the Operations business, including:
• review and triage of new incidents,
• working with stakeholders to understand incident root cause, impact, and required action plans,
• working with stakeholders to ensure actions are completed by the due date and incidents are closed by the target closure date,
• leading activity for complex incidents including where incident resolution is dependent on teams outside Operations. - Achieve incident management KPIs including aging and closure of incidents.
- Support and or lead remediation activities as required.
- Provide relevant reporting to key stakeholders to improve visibility of incident management performance and empower leaders to actively manage open incidents.
- Provide education, training, and support to Operations staff on incident management policy and process.
Improvement Focus
- Collaborate with key stakeholders and determine the optimal operating model for managing incidents.
- Work with stakeholders to implement and embed the operating model.
- Continuously look for ways to make the incident management process more efficient, balancing the needs of Operations and other internal stakeholders.
- Conduct periodic analysis of incident data and use insights to improve the risk and control environment.

- Take ownership of the risk and compliance responsibilities relevant to your role, support a strong risk culture, and understand that risk is everyone’s responsibility
Secondary Responsibilities
As required, provide support or lead:
- Risk and control identification.
- Control testing and assessment.
- Risk in change assessments.
- Procurement/service provider on-boarding.
- Process review and reengineering.
- Support with internal and or external audits.
Qualifications & Skills Required
- Relevant tertiary qualifications.
- RG146 compliant - Mandatory
- Prior experience in a risk or compliance role.
- Knowledge of Life Insurance product.
- Knowledge of the regulatory framework for the Life Insurance industry.
