In this role, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the trajectory of the space industry’s future. This is an opportunity to contribute your expertise and enthusiasm to a team that stands for innovation and excellence. If you are ready to take on exciting challenges and be part of a company that is redefining the boundaries of satellite technology, we welcome you to embark on this thrilling journey with us!

Your Mission:

  • Lead the development and integration of onboard software, from the initial concept to deployment in orbit.
  • Develop mission-specific software, payload software, and core flight software needed for the satellite missions.
  • Serve as the primary interface between the customer, the mission team, the flight software team, and the payload providers.
  • Translate mission and customer needs into precise technical specifications and design solutions.
  • Support the mission managers and software team leads in planning, coordinating, and tracking software-related work packages.
  • Contribute to and lead technical reviews at project milestones. Produce concise technical deliverables and material for these reviews.
  • Support integration and test phases for subsystems and payloads.
  • Coordinate daily work with the team. Monitor progress. Report critical blockers to leadership.
  • For Staff level: lead complex initiatives that span multiple tasks and epics, layers of the technical stack, and teams.

Your Background:

  • Background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Typically 3+ years (mid-level), 5+ years (senior), or 8+ years (staff) of experience in high-reliability embedded or spaceflight software.
  • Programming experience in C and Python.
  • Programming experience in both embedded RTOS and Embedded Linux/POSIX environments.
  • Knowledge of satellite subsystems, satellite payloads, and payload operational constraints.
  • Skilled in structured problem-solving, technical communication, and collaborative team work.
  • Experience with ECSS standards (e.g., ECSS-E-ST-40, ECSS-Q-ST-80, etc.) is a plus.
  • Experience with NASA cFS or similar frameworks is a plus.

What We Offer:

  • Collaborate with a diverse multinational team crafting the next wave of cutting-edge satellites. Embark on this exciting journey with us from the outset, leaving your indelible mark on a dynamic company and playing a direct role in shaping the future of the space industry.
  • Enjoy 30 days of paid vacation and a special company holiday on April 12th, celebrating the International Day of Human Space Flight and the spirit of exploration.
  • We provide a hybrid work model along with flexible working hours, empowering you as the owner of your time management.
  • An annual training budget of 1.500€.
  • A contribution to your Urban Sports membership as well as a discount on public transportation.
  • A 20% contribution to your private pension plan.
  • Access to Corporate Benefits - a website with many discounts for various brands.
  • We exclusively offer permanent employment contracts, reflecting our commitment to building long-term relationships and supporting sustainable career growth within our organization.
