Floor safety engineer

Role Description The Floor Safety Engineer is a full-time, hybrid role based in Greater Kuala Lumpur, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. The role involves assessing floor surfaces in commercial, industrial, and public spaces, conducting slip-resistance testing, and identifying potential safety hazards. The Floor Safety Engineer will prepare technical reports, recommend appropriate safety solutions using Czar Lab products, and support the implementation and monitoring of floor safety measures. Daily tasks include onsite inspections, data collection and analysis, coordination with clients and internal teams, and adherence to relevant safety standards and regulations. The role also includes supporting training sessions, documenting best practices, and contributing to continuous improvement of floor safety protocols and technologies.

Qualifications

• Experience in occupational safety, floor safety engineering, or related fields, with a solid understanding of slip, trip, and fall risk assessment.
• Knowledge of safety standards and regulations (e.g., OSHA or equivalent local standards) and familiarity with testing methods for surface friction and floor safety performance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret technical data, write clear reports, and propose practical safety solutions.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with clients, contractors, and internal teams, and for delivering training or safety briefings.
• Comfort with hybrid work arrangements, including onsite fieldwork across Greater Kuala Lumpur and remote documentation and coordination tasks.
• Relevant diploma or degree in engineering, safety management, industrial hygiene, or a related discipline; professional safety certifications are an advantage.
• Demonstrated commitment to environmental sustainability and safe work practices; prior experience with eco-friendly products or solutions is beneficial.
