Florida Market Medical Director - Remote Florida

Team collaboration is essential to our intensive, psycho-social model of care which includes assessment, medication management, social management, and behavioral health management. Job Description The Market Medical Director is a key member of the Duo Health leadership team. This leader will partner closely with the Market President to build out and manage the entire market team across a market geography. As part of this leaders' responsibilities, they will lead our clinical teams in the market (Nurse Practitioners and PAs) and engage in direct patient care with a small panel of high-risk patients. At Duo, we meet patients where they are – whether that’s in their home, at a community center, in a dialysis facility or in the hospital. It is crucial that our Market Medical Director engages in the practice of in-home care and coaches and develops our clinicians .As the leader of our market-focused clinical practice, the Market Medical Director will be responsible for ensuring new patients are seen in a timely manner, that clinical documentation is thorough and accurate and that team members develop and use problem-solving skills to prevent unnecessary medical utilization—all with the objective of keeping our patients happy, healthy and at home. The Market Medical Director will be responsible for ongoing education and evaluation of market-specific APP competencies including diagnostic skills, application of evidence-based treatment protocols and treatment abilities while teaching the fundamentals of population health management. This is an ideal role for a clinical leader who wants to drive outcomes over volume in healthcare and build a team that wraps fully around our patients. Specifically, this leader will: Collaborate with Market President to deliver results on KPIs and overall P&L outcomes Upskill APPs through high-intensity provider coaching based upon KPI performance Manage highest need, highest risk patients in short intervals to stabilize, then transition to APP panels as appropriate Lead health plan and network provider partnership discussions Drive relationship management of partners to key business results including growth targets, partner engagement and clinical/financial outcomes Support board material content and creation Other duties as assigned Candidates must reside in Florida to support the operational and clinical responsibilities. Requirements Must live in Florida M.D. or D.O. Graduate Board Certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Required Fellowship training in Geriatrics other professional degrees (MPH, MBA, JD) welcome but not required 5-15 years experience in outpatient or home-based practices, value based care experience preferred Extensive experience in clinical leadership roles coaching and developing NPs, PAs or MDs Experience utilizing KPIs and data to drive improved cost, quality and clinical outcomes for patients Comfort with ambiguity; experience in a start-up environment is helpful Working for Duo Competitive medical, dental and vision plans Paid parental leave Educational Assistance Program Adoption Assistance Access to free wellness & personal development courses 401k plan with company matching Paid holidays and unlimited PTO #LI-Remote
