We are hiring a Food Data Manager to play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, governance and lifecycle management of food data that supports product development, compliance and operational excellence across our Retail and Restaurants & Kitchens businesses.

About the Role

As Food Data Manager, you will lead the Food Data function, overseeing the governance, quality and management of product, recipe and menu data across the Food & Beverage division. Reporting to the Buying Manager for Ingredients & Data, you will be responsible for ensuring data is accurate, compliant and accessible, while supporting product launches, operational readiness and future business growth. You will act as the business owner for Food master data, driving continuous improvement, automation and strong governance practices across key systems and processes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading Food Data Governance across Retail and Restaurants & Kitchens, ensuring robust standards, controls and compliance frameworks are in place.
  • Owning Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) governance, providing oversight of launches, delists, recipe amendments and menu changes.
  • Managing service intake, prioritisation and workload planning to balance business demand with operational capacity and strategic objectives.
  • Supporting food safety, allergen management and operational readiness through effective data controls and risk management processes.
  • Driving systems optimisation, automation and process improvements across platforms including SAP, Qadex and future ERP solutions, while leading and developing the Food Data team.

Depending on your role, you may be fully on-site or have a mix of on-site and home working – this is what we refer to as ‘Hybrid’. Our hybrid working policy allows colleagues to work from home for part of the week, with a minimum of three days on-site, depending on business needs.

Please see our Hybrid@Harrods policy on our Career Site for more information or speak to a member of our Talent Acquisition team if you have any questions regarding the requirements for this role.

About You

You will be an experienced data management professional with a passion for governance, accuracy and continuous improvement. You thrive in complex, fast-paced environments and are confident working across multiple stakeholder groups to deliver business-critical outcomes. With strong leadership skills and a strategic mindset, you can balance day-to-day operational delivery with longer-term transformation initiatives. You are highly organised, analytical and proactive, with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and drive them through to successful implementation. Most importantly, you understand the importance of high-quality data in supporting customer experience, compliance and commercial performance.

You will also bring:

  • Significant experience in Data Management, Master Data Governance, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) or a related discipline within a food, retail, hospitality or FMCG environment.
  • Experience managing product, recipe, ingredient or menu data within ERP, PLM or master data systems, alongside a strong understanding of Stage Gate product development processes.
  • Knowledge of food compliance requirements, including allergen management, food safety and customer-facing product information.
