About Moretus

Moretus is a London-based sports betting and trading firm specialising in football. Our models price matches across leagues worldwide, and we're looking for people who know specific leagues inside out to give those models what the numbers can't see: team news, lineups and what's really happening on the pitch.

What you'll do

• Follow every match in your league or leagues, live or on video

• Track team news: injuries, suspensions, rotation, manager changes, motivation and travel

• Predict starting lineups before each round and flag news the moment it breaks

• Write short structured match and team reports in a format we provide

• Work with our quantitative analysts to turn your observations into model inputs

What we're looking for

• Deep, current knowledge of at least one league, ideally including its lower divisions

• You read local press and follow club channels in the league's language

• Reliable and organised: matchday deadlines are fixed

• Comfortable with numbers and spreadsheets

• Able to watch a lot of football, including evenings and weekends

Leagues we're especially interested in

English Championship and EFL, German 2. Bundesliga, Italian Serie B, Spanish Segunda División, Dutch Eredivisie, Portuguese Primeira Liga, Allsvenskan, Eliteserien, Danish Superliga, Brazilian Série A and B, Argentine Primera División, MLS, J1 League and K League 1. Specialists in other leagues are also welcome to apply.

Nice to have

• Experience as a scout, video or performance analyst, match data collector or Football Manager researcher

• Fluency in Portuguese, Spanish, German, Italian, Dutch, a Scandinavian language, Japanese or Korean

What we offer

• Full-time: £32,000 – £40,000 per year

• Part-time: £1,000 – £1,800 per month, depending on leagues covered and hours

• Fully remote, wherever you are based

• A paid two-week trial period before any longer-term contract

• The chance to work alongside a quantitative team and see your knowledge priced into real markets
