We made history and now we work to transform the future – for our customers, our communities and our families. You'll see your work on the road every day, helping people move freely and pursue their dreams. At Ford, you can build more than vehicles. Come build what matters.
Racing is where our story began.
In 1901, Henry Ford climbed into a car he built himself—"Sweepstakes"—and beat America's most famous driver. He wasn't a racer, but he had to win. He did. Ford Motor Company was born from that victory.
That fighting spirit lives on in Ford Racing today. We're the engineers, strategists, and competitors who bring Ford's track-tested edge into every vehicle we build. Every track, every stage, every proving ground—that's where we prove ourselves.
The result: one of the world's most iconic brands, legendary nameplates, and a team unmatched in the industry.
Our mantra: Race to win, engineer to lead.
If you're a competitor, innovator, or performance obsessive, Ford Racing is where you belong. Help us write the next chapter.
In this position...
- Ford Racing production vehicles are developed by teams working across engineering, design, finance, supply chain, manufacturing, and other functions. As a Program Management Analyst, you'll partner with the Program Manager and the cross-functional team to drive one of our performance vehicle programs toward its commitments.
- Program Management work spans planning the product and its business case, managing program timing and program health, coordinating with Design on appearance content, and supporting prototype builds and launch readiness.
- Depending on your program assignment, you'll gather updates from functional partners, author program health and milestone materials, drive actions and decisions to closure, and bring the team together to identify issues, clarify ownership, and agree on next steps. You'll own the information the program runs on, raise issues early, and bring a point of view to leadership.
What you'll do...
- Own program timing, milestone tracking, and the status of deliverables, open issues, and decisions for your assigned program.
- Gather and reconcile updates from cross-functional partners; author program health reports, milestone papers, and inputs for leadership reviews, approval forums, and steering team meetings.
- Run meeting preparation and follow-up, including agendas, decision records, action owners, and due dates.
- Identify and escalate timing, content, resource, and execution risks; work with the appropriate owners to drive issues to resolution.
- Author program documentation and analysis that support planning and decision-making. Depending on the program, this may include Product Direction Letters (vehicle features, options, and color and material content), export-market business cases and content, and color and trim direction materials.
- Manage the appearance approval process and key Design milestones, including color harmony, as the program requires.
- Drive prototype build, change-management, launch-readiness, and assembly-plant issue-resolution activities, depending on the program assignment.
- Go beyond reporting: analyze program information, identify risks and trends, and make recommendations to program and leadership teams.
You'll have...
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- At least 1 year of experience in Program Management, product development, business operations, or a related area.
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of deliverables and drive them to completion with limited oversight.
- Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities, track details, and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear materials and share information and recommendations with varied audiences.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, clarify ownership and next steps, and follow actions through to resolution.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Even better, you may have...
- Master's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years experience supporting vehicle development programs, Program Management workstreams, or other complex, cross-functional projects.
- Familiarity with vehicle development milestones, program deliverables, approval forums, prototype builds, or launch processes.
- Experience preparing program health reports, milestone materials, leadership presentations, business cases, or other decision-support materials.
- Experience analyzing program information, identifying risks or trends, and developing recommendations or a point of view.
- Familiarity with Ford systems and processes such as Optex, FEDEBOM, or 3DX.
- Experience with Python or other data-analysis tools is a plus.
- Familiarity with AI tools and their responsible use is a plus.
- Ability to work independently, adapt to changing priorities, and take a high level of ownership and accountability for program outcomes.
- Interest in Ford Racing products and motorsports.
You may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply!
