The Forensic Schedule, Risk, and Planning Manager supports Mission Critical projects through proactive schedule planning, project risk identification, impact analysis, recovery planning, and commercial risk mitigation. What You'll Do:

  • Create and support the development of baseline schedules.
  • Review general contractor schedules and identify changes or conditions that may adversely affect Sargent Electric’s work.
  • Review project schedules for logic, sequencing, manpower loading, and execution feasibility.
  • Participate in project turnover, planning, and execution strategy sessions.
  • Identify schedule, productivity, procurement, coordination, and commercial risks.
  • Develop and support recovery and mitigation plans.
  • Support timely notices, time-extension requests, change documentation, and preservation of contractual entitlement.

  • Monitor project performance indicators and productivity trends.
  • Prepare schedule narratives, variance analyses, executive summaries, and project performance reports.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to project teams on scheduling, risk, documentation, recovery planning, and entitlement preservation.
  • Support executive project reviews, risk assessments, lessons learned, and continuous improvement across the Mission Critical Division.

Forensic Planning and Analysis

  • Perform schedule impact analyses using appropriate methodologies, including Time Impact Analysis and fragnets, windows or period analysis, As-Planned versus As-Built analysis, and critical-path and schedule-update analysis.
  • Analyze acceleration, disruption, trade stacking, and out-of-sequence work.
  • Reconstruct project timelines and evaluate delay causation, critical-path impacts, acceleration, disruption, and mitigation.
  • Assist in quantifying schedule and productivity impacts.
  • Support claims packages with narratives, exhibits, cost summaries, and schedule analyses.
  • Review field notices, RFIs, directives, sketches, and scope revisions to identify changes requiring pricing.
  • Prepare detailed cost breakdowns, labor impact calculations, and supporting documentation.
  • Maintain standardized claim exhibits, templates, and forensic analysis formats.
  • Support Operations, executive leadership, Legal, outside consultants, and expert witnesses as required.

Risk Mitigation

  • Identify emerging schedule, productivity, procurement, coordination, and commercial risks before they materially affect project performance.
  • Recommend mitigation and recovery strategies and participate in risk review meetings with operations leadership.
  • Support commercial and operational decision-making.
  • Review monthly project schedules for accuracy, logic quality, completeness, and progress.
  • Validate general contractor schedules to identify potential adverse impacts.
  • Organize project documentation into clear timelines, issue logs, fact patterns, and impact summaries.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • At least five years of progressive construction experience in project controls, planning and scheduling, risk, change management, claims, or related major-project functions.
