Role Description The Forward-Deployed AI Engineer contract role is a remote position focused on integrating AI solutions directly into client environments. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with product and engineering teams to understand requirements, designing and implementing backend services that power AI features, and building robust data workflows to support model training and inference. The role involves developing production-grade software, optimizing performance and reliability, and ensuring secure, maintainable integrations with existing systems. The Forward-Deployed AI Engineer also participates in code reviews, documents technical decisions, and provides technical guidance to client stakeholders to help them adopt and scale AI-driven capabilities.

Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and systems fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience in Software Development and Programming, building and maintaining production systems.
- Proficiency in Back-End Web Development, including APIs, microservices, and database integration.
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and their application in modern architectures.
- Experience with AI/ML frameworks or integrating AI services into products (e.g., model deployment, inference pipelines).
- Comfort working in distributed, remote teams, with clear written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to collaborate directly with non-technical stakeholders, translate business needs into technical solutions, and iterate quickly.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (such as AWS, GCP, or Azure) and modern DevOps practices is beneficial.
