The Role We are looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to work directly with customers as they deploy Myto into real manufacturing environments. You will bridge engineering and customer operations, ensuring our platform delivers immediate value while helping shape the product based on real-world deployments. This is much more than a traditional implementation role. You'll spend time on factory floors, work alongside manufacturing teams, solve technical challenges, build customer-specific solutions, and partner closely with engineering to improve the core product. You'll often be the first person to deploy new capabilities and help define how Myto scales across industries. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving ambiguous problems, working directly with customers, and building products that operate in the physical world. What You'll Do Lead technical deployments of Myto at customer sites from initial onboarding through production rollout. Work directly with manufacturing teams to understand workflows, operational challenges, and deployment requirements. Configure, integrate, and customize Myto for customer-specific environments. Build lightweight tools, integrations, and automation that improve customer workflows. Troubleshoot technical issues in collaboration with engineering and ensure successful customer outcomes. Partner closely with product and engineering to identify product improvements based on deployment experience. Test new features in real customer environments and provide structured feedback before broader release. Help develop repeatable deployment playbooks, implementation processes, and best practices as Myto scales. Travel regularly to customer sites across North America. What We're Looking For Strong software engineering background with experience building production-quality systems. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly understand unfamiliar technical environments. Comfortable working directly with customers and translating technical concepts into practical solutions. Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-moving startup environment. Ability to balance customer needs with long-term product architecture. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across engineering, product, and customer teams. Willingness to travel frequently to customer sites. Bonus Experience as a Forward Deployed Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Implementation Engineer, or Technical Consultant. Experience with AI applications, LLMs, computer vision, or agentic workflows. Experience integrating enterprise software with ERP, MES, PLM, CMMS, or other manufacturing systems. Background in manufacturing, industrial automation, robotics, operational technology, or field engineering. Experience working in fast-growing startups and shipping customer-facing products quickly. Familiarity with APIs, cloud infrastructure, scripting, and data integrations. Location Remote or based in Palo Alto, California. Frequent travel is expected as part of the role for customer deployments and onsite support. Compensation The anticipated base salary range for this position is $140,000–$250,000 annually. Actual compensation will depend on a variety of factors, including experience, skills, qualifications, and expected impact. In addition to base salary, this role includes a meaningful equity component. The salary range listed reflects Myto's good-faith estimate of the compensation range for this position at the time of posting.
