Role Description The Forward Deployed Engineer is a full-time, remote role focused on working directly with clients to design, build, and deploy software solutions that address real operational needs. Day-to-day responsibilities include gathering and refining requirements, implementing back-end services and APIs, integrating systems and data sources, and collaborating with designers and product stakeholders to ensure technical feasibility. The role involves troubleshooting issues in production environments, optimizing performance, and contributing to the architecture of web and mobile applications. The Forward Deployed Engineer will also prepare technical documentation, support handover and training for client teams, and participate in continuous improvement of Madar’s engineering practices and internal tooling.

Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Computer Science concepts, including data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
- Proficiency in Back-End Web Development and Software Development, with experience building and maintaining APIs and server-side applications.
- Solid Programming skills in one or more modern languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, Go, or similar).
- Hands-on experience with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and writing clean, maintainable, and testable code.
- Experience integrating third-party APIs, services, and data sources, and working with relational or NoSQL databases.
- Comfort collaborating with non-technical stakeholders, translating business needs into technical solutions, and communicating clearly in English.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple projects, and deliver against deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), CI/CD pipelines, and version control (Git) is beneficial.
- Prior experience in a client-facing engineering, consulting, or forward deployed role is a plus.
