Your role as Forward Deployed Engineer - Adobe Experience Platform

This role combines solution architecture, technical consulting, and hands-on engineering focused on Adobe Experience Platform. You’ll work directly with strategic customers to understand their architecture, workflows, security requirements, and business objectives; solve complex platform challenges; and accelerate adoption and expansion.

Working within cross-functional Customer Pods, you’ll translate customer problems into scalable architectures, reference designs, working prototypes, and production-ready solutions. You’ll help bridge the gap between customer needs, product capabilities, and engineering implementation from discovery through go-live and expansion.

How you’ll contribute:

•Partner directly with strategic customers to understand their technical environments, business objectives, and definitions of success.

•Design and validate end-to-end enterprise solutions across Adobe Experience Platform, Real-Time Customer Data Platform, Adobe Journey Optimizer, and adjacent systems.

•Investigate and troubleshoot complex platform issues involving data ingestion, identity resolution, journey orchestration, audience activation, and data pipelines.

•Lead architecture workshops, platform health checks, technical deep-dives, and written architecture reviews that build customer trust.

•Rapidly prototype and iterate on new capabilities using AI-assisted development tools as a standard part of execution.

•Own the technical relationship with one or more enterprise customers while collaborating with product, engineering, architecture, and executive stakeholders.

•Identify recurring field needs and translate customer patterns into product feedback, technical strategy, and expansion opportunities.

Your skills and approach:

•8–15+ years across solution architecture, software engineering, technical consulting, or customer-facing engineering roles.

•Demonstrated ability to write code, build prototypes, and deliver working software grounded in implementation reality.

•Strong enterprise and data architecture expertise, including APIs, integrations, data modeling, identity resolution, and customer data platforms.

•Experience designing across complex, multi-system environments involving event-driven architectures, streaming or batch pipelines, data lakes, and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.

•Experience with security, compliance, privacy, data governance, and regulated environments; familiarity with data sovereignty and GDPR is a plus.

•Strong customer empathy, communication, business acumen, and ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

•Experience with AEP, RTCDP, AJO, CJA, Target, CDPs, MDM, martech, or comparable data platforms is strongly preferred.

•Growth mindset, bias toward action, and fluency with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or equivalent.

Compensation

The hourly pay range for this role is $100.00 to $130.00 per hour. The final rate will be determined based on a variety of factors, including the candidate’s relevant work experience, certifications, education, and geographic location. Please note that the range listed applies specifically to this position and may vary for other roles.
