I'm hiring Forward Deployed Engineers who want to take shaped but still ambiguous problems and turn them into working systems that people actually use.

You will work directly with users and client engineers across multiple workstreams, alongside an AI Engagement Lead. You take ownership from workflow discovery through a useful prototype, production or regular operational use, and the iteration loop that keeps it working. This is not a demo, support, or ticket-delivery role.

What you will own

• The working system, the smallest useful version that runs the whole workflow, then harden what earns the right to stay (across application code, APIs, data, automation, and agentic workflows)
• Technical discovery: sit with users, uncover real constraints, and turn them into a technical plan and fast learning sequence
• AI quality: evaluations, tests, observability, fallbacks, and human controls. Treat fluent output as unverified output
• Integration and production: work inside the client’s identity, security, data, and infrastructure constraints with deliberate trade-offs
• Adoption and handoff: train the team, write the runbook, and make the client progressively less dependent on you
• Reusable patterns: turn useful field learning into shared skills, evaluation sets, and building blocks

You may be a fit if

• You have shipped production software to real users and can explain your contribution from architecture through operation
• You are strong in Python, TypeScript/JavaScript (or a comparable stack) and comfortable across APIs, data, authentication, cloud systems, and debugging
• You have built useful systems with LLMs or agents and understand prompting/context, tool use, retrieval, evaluation, and common failure modes
• You can move from an unfamiliar business workflow to a working vertical slice without waiting for a perfect specification
• You use AI deeply in your own engineering work and can show where it accelerated you, where it failed, and how you verified the result
• You communicate clearly with users, engineers, and leaders, and can say “this will not work as proposed” while bringing a better path

Work model & compensation

Primarily remote / working from home, with offices in Porto and Lisbon available. Occasional client travel for discovery, building sessions, and rollouts. Full-time employment or B2B contractor arrangements possible.

Total package €55,000–€66,000 (salary + benefits), plus profit sharing.
