ABOUT TENDER HUNTER

Tender Hunter is building the future of government contracts.

Based in Slovenia and focused on the European market, we’re developing an AI-powered procurement system that helps businesses manage their pursuit of public contracts—from discovering relevant opportunities to organising, evaluating and progressing them through the procurement process.

Our vision is to bring opportunity intelligence and procurement workflows into one connected platform, giving businesses a clearer way to decide what to pursue and manage what comes next.

We’re preparing for our commercial launch and are looking for our first sales professional to work directly with the founders.

We already have a European prospect database, a pitch deck and product documentation. Product demos are being prepared for launch. You’ll help turn this foundation into customer conversations, paid accounts and a repeatable sales process.

THE ROLE

As our Founding Account Executive, you’ll take ownership of the entire sales cycle, from identifying potential customers and making initial contact to closing deals and coordinating the handover into onboarding.

This is a hands-on role with real influence over how we approach the market. You’ll work closely with the founders to identify our strongest customer segments, test messaging and build a sales approach we can grow.

The role is fully remote and open to both part-time and full-time availability, with responsibilities and targets agreed accordingly.

The role starts on a commission-only basis, with no initial base salary. The commission rate, qualifying sales and payment schedule will be agreed in writing before you start. Any future move to a base salary plus commission would require a separate agreement.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Own the entire sales process—from identifying and contacting potential customers to running discovery calls, delivering demos, preparing proposals, negotiating terms and closing deals.
  • Prioritise accounts from our existing prospect database and identify additional opportunities.
  • Reach potential customers through personalised email, LinkedIn and phone outreach.
  • Run discovery calls to understand how businesses find, evaluate and manage public procurement opportunities.
  • Deliver product demos as they become available, connecting the platform’s capabilities to each customer’s needs.
  • Manage follow-ups, prepare proposals, negotiate within agreed terms and close paid business.
  • Coordinate the handover into onboarding so customers have a clear next step after signing.
  • Maintain an organised CRM with clear next steps and realistic forecasts.
  • Test sales messages and outreach approaches across selected European markets.
  • Share customer feedback and objections with the founders to inform positioning, pricing and product development.
  • Help document a repeatable sales process for future hires.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
  • Experience selling B2B software or SaaS, with evidence of personally closing deals.
  • Experience generating your own pipeline through outbound prospecting.
  • Confidence managing the full sales cycle, from first contact to signed agreement.
  • Strong discovery, presentation, negotiation and written communication skills.
  • Professional fluency in English. Additional European languages are a plus.
  • The ability to work independently, stay organised and follow through consistently.
  • Comfort working in an early-stage company where the sales process is still being developed.
  • Willingness to start under a commission-only arrangement with clearly agreed terms.

No university degree or specific academic qualification is required. We care about your experience, ability to sell and demonstrated results.

Recruitment is limited to European applicants and applicants of any nationality who currently live or work in Europe, reflecting our focus on the European market.

Experience in an early-stage startup, cross-border European sales or public procurement is especially valuable.

YOUR FIRST 90 DAYS

During your first month, you’ll learn the product, work with the founders to select priority customer segments, organise the initial pipeline and begin outreach and discovery calls.

As the product becomes commercially available, you’ll lead demos, progress qualified opportunities and work towards the first paid accounts you originate.

By the end of 90 days, we want a clear view of the most promising customer segments, an actively managed pipeline and a documented approach to outreach, demos and follow-up. We’ll agree realistic sales targets together based on your availability, pricing, launch readiness and the sales cycle.

WHAT WE OFFER
  • Commission on sales you close, under an agreed written structure.
  • Fully remote work, with part-time and full-time opportunities.
  • Direct collaboration with the founders.
  • Ownership of the first sales function and meaningful input into our commercial strategy.
  • An existing prospect database and sales materials to build on.
  • The opportunity to grow with the business and take on broader responsibility as the sales team develops.

HOW TO APPLY

Apply through [application link or email] with:

  • Your CV or LinkedIn profile.
  • A short introduction explaining why this role interests you.
  • Your current location and whether you’re interested in part-time or full-time work.
  • One or two examples of B2B deals you personally sourced and closed, including the type of customer, approximate deal size and sales cycle. Please keep customer details confidential where necessary.

Our interview process includes an introductory conversation, a discussion of your sales experience and a short simulated customer conversation using a product brief we provide.
