𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Founder equity, standard 4 year vest, 1 year cliff, range negotiated on the call. Bootstrapped until pre-seed closes, so no salary yet, only equity and the chance to build this from zero.

𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

PAGRIC is a B2B, AI-powered agricultural supply intelligence platform connecting Nigerian smallholder farmers and food factories over WhatsApp and USSD, no smartphone required. Using satellite yield forecasting, multilingual voice AI, and QR-verified agricultural inputs, we’re closing the supply chain gaps behind Nigeria’s high post-harvest loss and palm oil import dependence. Factories get verified supply forecasts up to six weeks ahead. Farmers get fair pricing and a credit history they can actually use to access financing. We’re staying out of payment-rail licensing on purpose.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗬𝗼𝘂’𝗹𝗹 𝗢𝘄𝗻 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁

• The WhatsApp and USSD MVP: offline-first, multilingual, works on any handset

• The AI advisory layer: pest and disease detection, weather alerts, voice guidance

• Satellite-based yield prediction by LGA, feeding six-week-ahead forecasts to factories

• A matching engine connecting farm supply to factory demand weeks ahead of harvest

• The data foundation for credit scoring

This is a wide first-hire scope on purpose, we expect you to sequence it, not build all five at once.

𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

• Has a strong background in software development and architecture, with experience designing scalable, secure, resilient platforms from zero

• Is comfortable setting technical strategy and long-term direction aligned with business goals, not just executing someone else’s spec

• Has worked with, or is genuinely curious about, applied AI/ML (advisory systems, computer vision for pest detection, or geospatial/satellite data)

• Understands early-stage startup reality: ambiguity, no playbook, building the plane while flying it

• Can work independently, communicate clearly, and eventually build and mentor an engineering team as we hire past pre-seed

𝗡𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗛𝗮𝘃𝗲

• Experience with USSD or WhatsApp Business API integrations

• Familiarity with satellite/remote sensing data (e.g. Sentinel, NDVI) or agri-tech generally

• Previous founding engineer or technical cofounder experience

• Exposure to African market infrastructure constraints (connectivity, device fragmentation, multilingual UX)
