Founding Organizer Acquisition Lead
tivvioHelp us build the future of event ticketing in South Africa.
Tivvio is an early-stage event ticketing marketplace built to make discovering, creating and growing events simpler for organizers and attendees.
We're now looking for a Founding Organizer Acquisition Lead to help us build the supply side of the marketplace.
Your job will be simple:
Find great event organizers. Get them onto Tivvio. Help them succeed.
This is an early-stage opportunity, so we're looking for someone who is entrepreneurial, commercially minded and comfortable creating opportunities rather than waiting for them.
What you'll be doing:
- Identify and build relationships with event organizers across South Africa
- Prospect organizers through Instagram, WhatsApp, email, phone and other channels
- Introduce organizers to Tivvio and demonstrate the platform
- Help organizers get their first events live
- Build relationships with promoters, venues, DJs, universities, communities, workshop hosts and event companies
- Follow up with prospective organizers and convert them into active Tivvio customers
- Develop repeat relationships with successful organizers
- Gather feedback from organizers and communicate opportunities back to the Tivvio team
- Help us develop and refine our organizer acquisition playbook
Who we're looking for:
You don't necessarily need a traditional sales background.
We're much more interested in someone who is:
- Highly outgoing and comfortable starting conversations
- Persistent and not afraid of rejection
- Commercially driven
- Naturally good at building relationships
- Comfortable with Instagram, WhatsApp and social media
- Excited by startups and entrepreneurship
- Able to work independently without needing to be micromanaged
- Interested in the South African events ecosystem
Bonus points if you already have relationships with event organizers, promoters, venues, DJs, universities, communities or event businesses.
The opportunity:
Because Tivvio is an early-stage startup, this isn't a traditional salaried position yet.
We're looking for someone who wants to join us early and participate in the upside of building the company.
Pre-funding compensation:
- 1% commission on eligible ticket sales generated through organizers you directly acquire
- Vested equity in Tivvio
- Significant autonomy over the organizer acquisition function
- The opportunity to become a core member of Tivvio's commercial team
Once Tivvio secures qualifying external funding and establishes a salary budget for the role, the commission arrangement will transition to a regular salary, while your vested equity continues according to the agreed vesting schedule.
What success looks like:
Your initial goal will be to build a repeatable organizer acquisition engine.
That means:
More conversations → more organizers → more events → more ticket sales → more growth for Tivvio.
You'll have the opportunity to help define the process from the ground up rather than simply follow an existing sales script.
Why join Tivvio now?
You'd be joining at a point where your contribution can have a direct impact on the trajectory of the company.
You'll have a genuine opportunity to:
- Help shape Tivvio's go-to-market strategy
- Build relationships across South Africa's events ecosystem
- Develop the company's organizer acquisition function
- Earn from the ticket sales you help generate
- Own equity in the company
- Potentially grow into a senior commercial/business development role as Tivvio scales
Interested?
If you're the kind of person who sees an event and immediately thinks:
"I know who is running this. Let me get them onto Tivvio."
We'd love to hear from you.
Send us a short introduction telling us:
1. Who you are
2. Why Tivvio interests you
3. Any experience you have in sales, events, partnerships or community building
4. How you would go about finding our first 20–50 organizers
Location: Remote — South Africa
Type: Founding / early-stage opportunity
Compensation: Commission + vested equity, transitioning to salary following qualifying funding
