About SyntheticFi
SyntheticFi is a fast-growing FinTech startup redefining the securities-backed lending world. We partner via B2B channels with Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs). Through our product, clients of RIAs are able to access the SPX box spread market, an institutional source of liquidity.
We are leveling the lending playing field between individual investors and very large financial institutions. On the SPX box spread market, our users can borrow money to buy a house or a car at the same interest rate as financial institutions borrowing hundreds of millions of dollars.
Since launch in early 2025, we have consistently seen 20%+ month-over-month growth. We have earned the trust of hundreds of RIA firms to manage over $2 billion in regulatory AUM through the SPX box spread market.

About the Role
We’re looking for a proactive, creative, and highly organized SDR who can identify new opportunities, experiment with different approaches, and continuously learn and iterate based on results. This role is not about simply working through a fixed lead list or following an existing playbook. You’ll take ownership of building our outbound sales process from the ground up and help shape the systems, workflows, and strategies that drive qualified meetings for our sales team.
If you’re energized by challenging problems and excited by the opportunity to take real ownership, this is the opportunity where you can make a meaningful impact from day one.
\
What You’ll Be Doing
- Develop and execute highly targeted, personalized outbound campaigns to financial advisors and other prospective clients, with cold calling as a significant part of your day-to-day work, alongside email, LinkedIn, and other outbound channels, with the goal of generating qualified meetings for our sales team.
- Proactively identify new prospect segments, market signals, and outreach opportunities, and come up with creative ways to reach the right prospects and get their attention.
- Write, test, and continuously improve cold-call scripts, voicemail messaging, email sequences, and other outbound content based on what resonates with prospects.
- Take ownership of the entire pre-meeting prospecting process and keep it highly organized, including lead lists, segmentation, sequences, follow-ups, prospect conversations, meeting handoffs, and CRM activity.
- Experiment with new outbound strategies, tools, and workflows rather than relying on an existing playbook, and bring fresh ideas that help us build and improve our outbound process.
- Partner closely with Sales and other internal teams, track what’s working and what isn’t, and continuously refine your approach to improve meeting conversion.
What We’re Looking For
- 1–3 years of experience in sales development, business development, outbound sales, or a similar prospecting-focused role.
- Experience with cold outbound prospecting, including cold calling and email outreach.
- Experience using CRM platforms (e.g. HubSpot, Salesforce) to manage prospects, track outreach activity, and maintain accurate pipeline data.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally and confidently with prospects.
- Highly proactive and self-directed. You're comfortable creating your own approach rather than waiting for a detailed playbook.
- Creative and experimental mindset. You enjoy finding new audiences, signals, messaging, and ways to get prospects’ attention.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple campaigns, lead lists, conversations, and follow-ups simultaneously.
- Comfortable learning a technical financial product and becoming knowledgeable enough to have credible initial conversations with prospects.
- Results-oriented mindset with a clear focus on generating qualified meetings.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience at a startup or high-growth technology company.
- Knowledge of or experience in financial advisors, RIAs, wealth management, FinTech, or financial services.
- Ability to proactively research and source prospects online, build targeted lead lists, and identify the right contacts and decision-makers rather than relying on pre-built lead lists.
- Comfort working with common technical and analytical tools, including Python, JavaScript, SQL, Excel, Retool, and similar platforms.
- Familiarity with modern outbound and sales tools such as Apollo, Clay, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Instantly, Dripify, or similar platforms.
Compensation & Benefits
- On-Target Earnings: $85,000–$110,000
- Compensation Structure: Base salary + uncapped commission
- Equity: up to 0.25%
- Unlimited PTO
- 401(k) Retirement Plan
- Medical Insurance
- Dental Insurance
- Vision Insurance
