Founding Senior Engineer (Hybrid + Equity)

We’re looking for a Senior Founding Engineer to help build the core systems that power WingRep — from fast, reliable APIs to intuitive product experiences. You’ll work across the stack, owning architecture, infrastructure, and major product features in a high-autonomy, high-impact role. This isn’t narrow or siloed work — you’ll shape how our platform scales, integrates AI, and delivers real-time insights to users. WingRep is a fast-growing B2B SaaS startup redefining how sales teams level up. Our AI-powered platform delivers real-time sales coaching to accelerate revenue growth—helping sellers close more deals, managers scale their impact, and organizations drive consistent performance.

We’re building the next generation of sales enablement: smarter, faster, and more effective than traditional training. Our mission is to give every seller a WingRep coach in their corner.

The team works out of our San Francisco office 3+ days a week, and we expect you to join us in the office at least 3 days a week to collaborate closely.

The Role

We’re looking for a Senior Founding Engineer to help build the foundation of WingRep’s platform — from scalable backend systems and fast APIs to polished user experiences. You’ll touch everything: data pipelines, AI integrations, web and mobile interfaces, and the infrastructure that powers our product end-to-end.

This is a rare opportunity to own architecture, shape product direction, and set engineering culture at a high-velocity startup. You’ll work closely with the founding team to design systems that are fast, reliable, and built to scale — while exploring how AI can enhance every part of the product.

You don’t need deep LLM experience yet — just curiosity, strong fundamentals, and a bias for building.

What You’ll Do

• Design and scale core systems across backend, frontend, and infrastructure.
• Build APIs and async workflows that power personalized insights, analytics, and real-time user experiences.
• Own technical direction — making architectural decisions that will shape the next 3–5 years of WingRep.
• Work closely with product and design to ship high-quality features quickly.
• Collaborate on AI-powered features like intelligent recommendations, summarization, and coaching experiences.
• Drive best practices for speed, reliability, and code quality across the team.

Frontend: React Native (Expo), TypeScript

Backend: FastAPI (Fargate), AWS Lambda, GraphQL (AppSync)

Data / Infra: Aurora Serverless (Postgres), S3, CDK, EventBridge

AI / ML: AWS Bedrock (Claude, Llama), Pinecone (RAG)

About You

• 5+ years of professional experience across backend or full-stack development.
• Strong in Python or TypeScript, with a solid grasp of system design and distributed architecture.
• Experienced in building and optimizing async workflows, APIs, and databases.
• Care deeply about code quality, performance, and elegant architecture.
• Excited to learn how to integrate AI into real-world products.
• Thrive in startup environments — comfortable moving fast and wearing multiple hats.
• Bonus: Experience with AWS, data pipelines, or AI/LLM experimentation.
