Foundry Governance and Security Lead

About the Role

As a Palantir Governance and Security Lead, you will be instrumental in defining, implementing, and enforcing robust security and data governance policies across our Palantir environments. Your work will ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of critical data, enabling secure and compliant operations for our most sensitive initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive data governance and access control policies within Palantir Foundry or Gotham.
• Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate risks specific to Palantir deployments.
• Develop and enforce data classification schemas and data retention policies in alignment with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with legal, compliance, and engineering teams to ensure adherence to industry standards and data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA).
• Create detailed documentation for security procedures, configurations, and governance frameworks for Palantir platforms.
• Provide expert guidance and training to platform users and administrators on best practices for data security and compliance within Palantir.
• Respond to and investigate security incidents, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience working directly with Palantir Foundry or Gotham platforms.
• Demonstrable expertise in designing and implementing data governance, access control, and security policies within Palantir environments.
• Strong understanding of security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and regulatory compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA).
• Proficiency in configuring and managing Palantir's security features, including object security, permissions, and roles.
• Experience with data classification, lineage, and auditing within complex data ecosystems.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+).
• Experience with cloud security principles and practices (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python) for automation of security tasks or data analysis within Palantir.
• Previous experience in a highly regulated industry (e.g., finance, healthcare, government).
