COMPANY:

Eurus Energy Group develops, invests in, and operates renewable energy projects worldwide, with a focus on onshore wind and photovoltaic projects. Starting from its first project in California in 1987, Eurus now has over 5 GW of wind and solar power generation worldwide.

Eurus Energy Europe B.V.(“EEE”) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Eurus Energy Holdings Corporation, which is owned by listed Japanese company, Toyota Tsusho Corporation. EEE operates renewable energy projects in Europe with a total exceeding 1 GW. More renewable energy projects will be built in the coming years.

In order to manage our growing portfolio and expand the team, we are looking to hire a

“FP&A Associate”

Who will support the EU Finance Team and will report directly to the Head of Finance. You will be based in Amsterdam.

Profile:

We are looking for a hands-on, analytically strong finance professional with around five years of relevant experience (we will consider 4–6 years) in FP&A, financial controlling, corporate finance, audit, transaction services or finance advisory. FP&A is the core of the role: candidates should bring hands-on ownership of budgeting, forecasting, long-term business planning, performance management and management reporting. Experience from a Big Four or comparable advisory environment is welcome, but financial modelling and advisory exposure should be complemented by a clear ability and motivation to own recurring planning, forecasting and performance-management processes in-house.

Candidates from a Big Four or comparable professional services background are very welcome, particularly those who want to move in-house, with greater ownership and exposure to the full renewable project lifecycle.

You will work across projects from development and investment through financing, construction and operations, as a business partner to Development, Engineering, Accounting, Tax, Legal, Treasury and Asset Management. You will connect financial analysis to key commercial and operational drivers, including energy production, pricing, operating costs and project profitability. The role provides meaningful exposure to project finance, including investment planning, cash flow forecasting, funding visibility, financing processes, lender due diligence and covenant monitoring, while remaining primarily focused on FP&A, financial modelling and business analysis.

As EEE grows, we are not simply adding capacity. Working closely with the Head of Finance, you will help build a more scalable Finance function: standardising FP&A processes and models, improving and automating planning and reporting, and developing finance tools and systems that raise the quality of financial information and decision-making, in line with Group standards and governance. You will challenge assumptions, identify risks and opportunities, and translate analysis into clear, actionable recommendations for management and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Build, maintain and improve financial models; prepare business cases, scenario and sensitivity analyses, and investment and management materials that link financial outcomes to energy production, pricing, costs and project profitability.
  • Analyse financial and operational performance, including variances against budget, forecast and business case; identify key drivers, risks and opportunities; challenge assumptions; and turn findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Prepare and coordinate budgets, periodic forecasts and long-term business plans for the European portfolio and holding entities, with clear ownership of recurring planning and performance-management processes.
  • Coordinate project CAPEX and investment planning, cash flow forecasting and funding visibility in close collaboration with Treasury and Project Finance; participate in financing and M&A processes, lender due diligence and covenant monitoring; and prepare financial information for lenders and advisors.
  • Act as finance business partner to Development, Engineering, Accounting, Tax, Legal, Treasury and Asset Management, providing constructive challenge, financial insight and decision support from development and investment through construction and operations.
  • Standardise FP&A processes and models, and improve and automate planning and reporting to make them robust, efficient and scalable.
  • Contribute to the development of finance tools and systems and to the continuous improvement of processes and internal controls, improving the quality and scalability of financial information.

Required Skills & Qualification:

  • Approximately 5 years of experience (4–6 years considered) in FP&A, financial controlling, corporate finance, audit, transaction services, finance advisory or similar roles, ideally within renewable energy, infrastructure or project-based businesses. Candidates from Big Four or advisory backgrounds should demonstrate readiness to move beyond project-based modelling and advice into hands-on ownership of budgeting, forecasting and performance management.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Business Administration or a related discipline.
  • Strong Excel and financial modelling skills, with the ability to build and maintain models for budgeting, forecasting, business planning, project investment planning, cash flow forecasting and investment analysis.
  • Good working understanding of project finance principles, including project cash flows, CAPEX profiles, financing structures, funding requirements, financial covenants and lender requirements.
  • Solid hands-on experience in budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, variance analysis and business performance management, with strong attention to detail and an understanding of commercial and operational value drivers.
  • Strong analytical, organisational and business partnering skills, with the confidence to challenge assumptions, identify risks and opportunities, and communicate clear, actionable recommendations to financial and non-financial audiences.
  • Proactive, hands-on mindset, with the ability to work independently, take ownership of assigned responsibilities and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Fluency in English (additional European languages are an advantage).

Desirable Skills & Qualification:

  • Experience in renewable energy, infrastructure or energy markets (wind, solar, BESS preferred).
  • Exposure to international transactions and multi-country project environments.
  • Exposure to project finance processes, such as project investment planning, cash flow forecasting, funding visibility, lender due diligence, covenant reporting or preparation of financial information for lenders and advisors.
  • Demonstrated interest in the energy transition, sustainable finance and long-term asset investment.
  • Experience with BI tools, reporting automation or AI-enabled finance processes, and an interest in using technology to improve planning, reporting and decision support.

Offer:

  • Competitive Gross Annual Salary in line with market standard
  • Performance Bonus (up to 10 % of annual salary, at company’s discretion),
  • Pension Plan
  • 28 Paid Holidays
  • NS Business Card
  • Working Hours: 40 hours per week (8 hours per day including a 60-minute lunch break from Monday to Friday)
  • Training & Development Programmes
  • Hybrid Work Policy
  • Flexible Working hours

Applications (in English) should respond specifically to the requirements including curriculum vitae and motivation letter. We are looking forward to receiving your application!

NOTE: Only candidates who are eligible to work and live in the European Union (EU) and/or have an EU-passport will be considered for this role.
