POSITION SUMMARY
PatientCare EMS Solutions is a private-equity-backed emergency medical transportation company with roughly 3,000 employees, 450,000+ annual transports, and seven operating companies across six states — plus an ambulance refurbishment shop. Our Finance team turns 400,000+ patient encounters a year into numbers the C-suite, the board, and our lenders can act on.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and help run the annual budget and monthly forecast processes across all transport operations, with particular focus on labor/overtime, revenue, and capex.
- Build and maintain financial models for RFP bids, M&A diligence, transport-volume growth scenarios, cost-reduction initiatives, and labor negotiations.
- Partner with the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) team to determine monthly net revenue and analyze payor mix, collections, and revenue variances across operations.
- Prepare monthly management reporting packages and variance analysis for operators, executive leadership, and (as applicable) the private equity sponsor.
- Support cash flow forecasting, working capital analysis, and day-to-day cash management.
- Assist with quarterly credit agreement / covenant compliance reporting to lenders, including calculation workpapers and follow-up on lender inquiries.
- Build and maintain advanced Excel / Power Query models
- Contribute to Board of Directors reporting materials and other executive-level presentations.
- Act as a trusted finance point of contact for assigned operating units, translating data into decisions for non-finance operators.
- Use AI tools (e.g., Claude, Microsoft Copilot) to accelerate and improve the quality of financial analysis and reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in payroll, benefits, or HR operations with responsibility for confidential employee information and deadline-driven work.
- Ability to review complex records for accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and follow an issue through completion.
- Clear communication, sound judgment, and the ability to coach an employee while maintaining service to a 24/7 workforce.
- Proficiency with HR, payroll, and office systems; experience with UKG, Benefitsolver, and similar platforms preferred.
- Prior lead or supervisory experience preferred; equivalent experience coordinating work and training others may be considered.

Work Environment
- Full-time, mostly remote position. Candidates should be based near Nashville, TN to allow for periodic in-person collaboration with CFO.
