FP&A Project Accountant | Relevate Health

WHO WE ARE

At Relevate Health, we believe every HCP communication should be relevant, and we have built a company full of exceptional people who show up every day to make that real. We are healthcare marketing experts who push ourselves to the highest possible levels to further our purpose and exceed our goals. Our growth is fueled by an extraordinary culture, a team that genuinely cares, and work that matters.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a Project Accountant to join our growing FP&A team and take true ownership of the financial health of your own business segment from day one. You will manage the project lifecycle from financial set up through revenue recognition, billing, forecasting, and reporting, and you will partner directly with account teams and business unit leaders to keep everyone aligned on budgets, actuals, and profitability. You will work across multiple business units, build strong relationships with finance, operations, and sales, and get exposure to leadership that many early-career finance roles never offer. This is a role for someone who is sharp in Excel, curious about how the business really works, and brings positive energy to every conversation. There is plenty of room to grow here, and we will help you get there.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Own the financial lifecycle of projects, including initial set up, budget tracking, forecasting, and reporting
  • Prepare project level reconciliations and review budget balances, actuals versus budget, profitability, and monthly invoicing with key account leads
  • Calculate revenue and accruals across three business units
  • Lead the monthly revenue forecasting process, with weekly or biweekly check-ins with account teams
  • Partner with the Accounts Receivable team to get monthly invoices out on time
  • Review and approve scope and project set up to confirm alignment with client contracts, including brand, product, and pricing
  • Validate adjustments to scopes, time entries, expenses, transfers, and write-offs in line with company policy
  • Keep core project information accurate in our financial systems to support clean reporting and billing
  • Deliver burn reporting, month end reporting, invoicing reports, and audit reports
  • Manage and work across our project and finance platforms, including Zoho (CRM), Workfront (project management), Sage Intacct (accounting and ERP), and Power BI (reporting)
  • Collaborate with finance, operations, and sales throughout the life of each project
  • Support project staffing and capacity planning for your assigned business units
  • Jump in on ad hoc requests and audit reconciliations

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Must-Haves

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to analyze and summarize large data sets
  • Basic project accounting experience
  • A working understanding of core financial concepts, such as revenue recognition
  • Great positivity and energy, and a collaborative, can-do approach
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Big Pluses

  • Experience in a healthcare marketing agency environment (especially agency side)
  • Pharma industry experience
  • Hands-on experience with Workfront, Sage Intacct, or Power BI
  • Experience with billing milestones, accruals, or monthly forecasting
  • Familiarity with CRM tools such as Zoho

Education

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

This role does not require travel. Colleagues located within 40 miles of a Relevate Health office (Cincinnati or New Jersey) work in a hybrid arrangement, and all others work remotely.
