Chainbridge Solutions, a recognized expert in the field of personnel security, is a dynamic and growing woman-owned company supporting the federal government. We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic-minded Fractional Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our leadership team. This role is ideal for a financial expert with a solid understanding of accounting principles and a passion for driving business growth through financial insight. This is a part-time position (approximately 20 hours per week), 5 days a week, with flexible hours. The candidate must be local to the DC Metro area and available to attend periodic in-person meetings and operational sessions at our Fairfax, VA office.

Key Responsibilities

The Fractional CFO will be responsible for overseeing the financial strategy, forecasting, pricing models for services and products, and financial operations of the business. This role requires a hands-on leader who can provide high-level financial guidance while also being a liaison with the operational accounting activities, performed by the outsourced accounting team.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Lead financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting efforts.
  • Design and optimize pricing models for products and services bids.
  • Analyze financial performance and provide actionable recommendations to the CEO.
  • Support accounting operations and ensure compliance with GAAP.
  • Manage routine accounting and financial administrative tasks, including expense tracking, invoice preparation and submission, receipt management, transaction entry, and basic account reconciliation.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate with outsourced accountants and auditors as needed.
  • Provide financial insights for business development and investment decisions.
  • Participate in strategic planning and decision-making at the executive level.
  • Attend on-site meetings in Fairfax for operational and leadership needs.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Proven experience as a CFO or senior financial executive, preferably in a small to mid-sized Government Consulting business.
  • Expertise in financial planning, pricing strategies, and forecasting.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Experience pricing products is a plus
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work part-time with flexible hours, including on-site presence in Fairfax.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
  • Frequently remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods of time looking at a computer screen.
