Fractional CFO / Financial Strategy Partner
Speed & Function is a custom software development agency with 20 years in business and a distributed team of approximately 75 people.
The company is looking for a fractional CFO who can become a genuine thought partner to its leadership team.
S&F already has an internal finance team, established reporting, and forecasting. The missing piece is senior financial leadership: someone who can challenge assumptions, strengthen decision making, develop the existing team, and help shape the company’s future.
The immediate challenge: AI is transforming software services. S&F is reconsidering its operating model, cost structure, pricing, and capabilities while exploring new opportunities for growth.
The ideal partner brings:

This is a remote, part time collaboration. Ukrainian roots and experience with Ukrainian software companies are strong advantages. Location is flexible, with compensation expected to reflect a sustainable, long-term fractional engagement.

- Direct financial leadership experience in software development agencies or IT services companies. SaaS experience alone is insufficient.
- Strong understanding of project economics, utilization, capacity, pricing, margins, and incentives.
- Ability to connect financial strategy with organizational design and execution.
- Intellectual curiosity, humility, and comfort with uncertainty.
- A collaborative, low ego approach and genuine interest in developing others.
