About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on fragrance professional who can manage our perfumery lab, maintain our fragrance library and support fragrance development across projects. The ideal person should be organised, technically comfortable in a fragrance environment, and have a good understanding of fine fragrances, fragrance families, accords and market references.

This role is suited to someone who enjoys working closely with fragrances, briefs and product development rather than being in a purely administrative position.

Key Responsibilities

Lab & Sample Management

· Manage the day-to-day functioning of the fragrance lab.

· Prepare and coordinate fragrance samples, trials and modifications.

· Ensure accurate weighing, labelling and documentation of samples.

· Maintain fragrance compounds, raw materials and finished sample references.

· Track stock levels and coordinate replenishment of lab materials.

· Maintain proper records of samples, trials and modifications.

· Ensure the lab remains organised, clean and efficiently managed.

Fragrance Library

· Maintain and continuously update the fragrance library.

· Organise fine fragrance references, accords, compounds and benchmarks.

· Maintain clear classification and documentation of fragrance references.

· Keep track of new launches, market references and relevant fragrance trends.

· Support internal teams in identifying suitable fragrance references for projects.

Working on Fragrance Briefs

· Understand fragrance briefs provided by clients or internal teams.

· Identify suitable fragrance directions and references from the library.

· Coordinate fragrance trials and submissions based on the brief.

· Compare submissions against benchmarks and project requirements.

· Maintain records of briefs, submissions and final selections.

Previous Experience

We are open to candidates from any of the following backgrounds:

· Experience working in a fragrance or perfumery lab.

· Experience managing or working with a fragrance library.

· Experience with perfume manufacturers.

· Experience with perfume exporters.

· Experience with fragrance houses, compounders or perfume development companies.

· Experience handling fragrance samples, briefs, references or product development.

Direct experience as a perfumer is not mandatory. What matters is that the person has worked closely enough with perfumes and fragrances to understand the product, terminology, references and development process.

What We Are Looking For

· Good understanding of fine fragrances and fragrance families.

· Familiarity with fragrance compounds, samples and basic raw materials.

· Ability to understand and interpret fragrance briefs.

· Good knowledge of international fragrance references.

· Strong organisational and documentation skills.

· Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of the lab and fragrance library.

· Attention to detail and accuracy in sample preparation and record keeping.

· Genuine interest in perfumes and fragrances.

Formal perfumery education is preferred but not essential if the candidate has strong relevant industry experience.

Ideal Candidate

· Hands-on and practical.

· Organised and responsible.

· Knowledgeable about perfumes.

· Curious about new fragrance launches and trends.

· Comfortable working with fragrance briefs.

· Detail-oriented.

· Able to manage the lab and library independently.

· Interested in growing within a fragrance business.
